Windows Vista
Microsoft are experts at selling you things you don’t need, and they did it again with Windows Vista.
Today I decided to buy a new laptop, and from a week of surveying I finally decided to get a Fujitsu Lifebook. I have always loved the look and feel of Fujitsu laptops, and after my iBook died a premature death I thought of finding a new life partner.
The Fujitsu was as good as I expected. But the crap it came with certainly was not. Slow on startup, messy and overall a bad rip-off of the Mac OSX Tiger, this must truly be Microsoft’s biggest scam to date. If there’s anyone who can sell ice to the eskimos, it’s definitely Microsoft. I am sure Vista has tons of features and subtleties that I will never explore before the next Windows Armageddon is released.
It’s true what they say: “When you go Mac you don’t go back”. After more than a year using my iBook, I can’t help but make comparisons, and the Mac is truly the better machine with the better operating system.
The only reason I have Windows Vista now is because I had no choice. My Fujitsu Laptop came preinstalled with Vista, and to change the OS to XP would cost me 300 bucks.
Microsoft is crap. It’s all a big conspiracy.
Thanks Gobala for your
haha gobala … it seem you’re trapped (not that you have any other choice) by microsoft again … congrats on your fujitsu notebook …
let me tell you that you’ve made the right choice with fujitsu … i’ve beein using fujitsu since 2005 (S7000 series) which comes with the finger print verificationn … quite expensive though but it’s worth it because fujitsu is the only notebook that you can get in malaysia which is made from japan … i doubt i’ll even get my hands on that vista - heard too many horro story about it …
oh yeah, i found you from http://upclassmarketing.com/
have fun with your new baby … cheers
Yeah, choices are what we need. Right now it’s black, or black.
Bala,
You should wait until you go down to Singapore to shop. The electronics items there are cheaper than here. I bought my 17″ monitor in 2 years back and I still find it a good buy after 1 year.
steven … is it still cheaper down there even after the currency conversion? it’s been ages since i last went down there, no idea if it’s still worth buying anything there …
Actually nowadays the price are about the same. Not worth it just to go all the way down to singapore unless u live in JB. Btw, I lives in Sg.
Hi Gobala,
Amen to that Gobala!, Mac is the bomb! this machine will run in tip top shape for years…
Thanks
Albert
Hi Gobala,
I bought a Dell a month ago (it was a move from my Apple PowerBook). Frankly I prefer Windows machine because I can run all my PC based programs. Which is important for me.
But like you said, I made a mistake by opt into Vista instead of XP. I had the option to order either of the OS and I should have taken XP.
Very first program I had problems with was xSitePro… It doesn’t run on Vista…
Well, now no turning back… Try to look at the positives of Vista (not many though)…
Cheers

Hi Gobala
Good choice for the laptop. i like Fujitsu too! i know Vista sucks but maybe you have to stick to it for a while till something better comes up. Well i guess that’s how Microsoft makes money lolz.
P.S. We had a huge water sprout occurring in Singapore the other day. People thought it was a Tornado! It came out in the evening news…quite a phenomenon i would say. You might wanna check out the picture on my site.
Cheers!
Connie
hi gobala,
i used Fujitsu for 3 years now. it has touch screen, which other laptop doesn’t have. lol
it’s brilliant to choose Fujitsu to be your new life partner.
Eventhough I use Windows XP for my notebook, I personally don’t want to upgrade to Vista any time sooner. I feel that my Windows XP still can gives me the performance that I need in my daily usage.
I wonder why this Microsoft is selling something bad without testing it out vigorously.
By the way, I still tagged with my lovely COMPAQ and Toshiba Tecra notebook.
