WordCamp Malaysia Pictures and People

WordCamp Malaysia was a blast, with more attendees than I expected. Overall I would say that event was very well organized, with all sessions starting on time.

BlogSell – My First Software Offer

I’ve said before that I have a new direction for 2010, which will see me moving away from information marketing, and diving head first into software application development.

Now, I can announce the project I’ve been working on for the past 4 months – BlogSell.com

BlogSell is a blog monetization & management software that gives you the tools to make more money from your existing blogs. Currently, BlogSell allows you to:

  • Manage and track affiliate links
  • Manage and track affiliate banners
  • Sell links, banner ads, and paid reviews

And yes, it’s designed to work with WordPress blogs only for now, although integration with Blogger is a future possibility.

Since it is a hosted software (or hosted app), there is no script for you to upload and install to your own server. Everything is done centrally, but you can connect BlogSell to your own WordPress blogs using some simple plugins.

Do You Really Use Twitter?

How many of you actually log in to Twitter and use it, and how many use it indirectly like I do?

I still don’t really understand Twitter. Perhaps there are people out there dying to tell the world every single thing they do an a day-to-day basis, but hey not me. I basically use it as another way to make sure my email messages and writing get read by my target audience.

I syndicate my latest blog posts, and also the latest emails from Aweber, to my Twitter account. In fact I have found over 23 WordPress plugins for Twitter than can help you use the service in smart ways, and still generate traffic to your main sites and blogs.

I have never sent or created a message in Twitter alone. This is how I do it, and you may want to consider doing the same if you’re still reluctant to get started with Twitter.
