Book Launch at KL International Book Fair

IMG_1921 I was so busy getting PLR WordPress Videos ready for the launch day, that I almost forgot to blog about my book launch at KL International Book Fair last weekend.

Well actually it was a book launch for all new True Wealth titles, and I was actually quite surprise to find a lot of new authors published their book in the past six months or so.

Yeah I know I’m just wearing my jeans, but that’s the “look” you need to have if you’re an Internet marketer :)

The book fair also had foreign publishers and you could get almost any book you want for a discount. Most of the really crowded booths however, were selling text books for primary / secondary kids.

The first picture is some of the other authors signed to True Wealth publishing. On my left is K.C. Lau who published “Top Money Tips for Malaysians”. The director of MPH Malaysia, that’s his signature on the book cover.

Pictures from The MindValley / SMART Event

I’m probably the last person to upload pictures from the SMART Seminar / Mind Valley dinner and hang-out session earlier this month. Thanks to Vishen for organizing such a great event, which is a great break from the otherwise boring life of an Internet marketer :)

Granted not all the pictures are here but can see more from all these Facebook profiles.

This is a picture of me and Alexandra Cattoni from MindValley. In case you’re wondering, yes Mind Valley is filled with beautiful talented people. It’s not fair I know but life’s never fair. If only I knew about Mind Valley when I decided to quit my job in TM three years ago.

001

That’s me, Ewen Chia, Vince Tan and Edmund Loh.

009

With Anik Singhal and Ewen Chia, two of the world’s top super affiliates. I never got the chance to speak to Ewen much before. But during this event I realized he’s a really nice down-to-earth guy and I suspect that’s because he had to work really hard to get to where he is now.

017

On the right are Brian Wong and Vishen Lakhiani, the co-founder of Mind Valley. Their blog is a must-read too if you’re serious about Internet marketing. Brian Wong is a NuSkin Diamond and he’s pretty successful in the MLM and personal development market, plus he drives a Lotus Elise.

And a picture of (almost) everyone including Patric Chan and wife Emily, Mark Joyner, Simon Leung.

I hope Vishen and Mind Valley will organize more events like this – and I hope I get invited too :)

Meet Local Malaysian Authors – True Wealth Day

image If you’ve ever wanted to meet a lot of Malaysian authors all in one place, here’s your chance.

True Wealth is holding it’s first Open Day on 8th November 2008, and by attending it you get to purchase all True Wealth publications at a discount, both books by Azizi Ali and all Truewealth Authors. Besides that you also get to listen to featured speakers giving valuable presentations on their favorite topics.

I will be there on to give a 30-minute talk titled “Turn Your Knowledge Into a Product”, where I share how anyone can turn their skills or knowledge into digital products that they can sell online for big profits. I will also be autographing books by participants.

True Wealth’s office is in Kelana Jaya (behind Giant, opposite Kelana Square). Please refer to their website for details on the event.

I Will Be At The SMART Seminar Malaysia and Singapore

image It’s been more than a year now since World Internet Summit Singapore and WIME in San Francisco. It’s time to get to an Internet marketing event, and this year it’s The SMART Seminar by Stuart Tan and Simon Leung.

It happens on the 7-9 November in Malaysia and from the 14-16 November in Singapore.

Events like this are a great way to meet other Internet marketers, socialize, and maybe even form new partnerships. To all Malaysians, you can get a discounted ticket price from me so I hope to see more of you at the event.

To all my Singapore friends, I hope to see you at the Lion City and maybe catch up on some stories.

Pictures From My Cambodia Honeymoon

I went to Cambodia for my honeymoon. I got a LOT more pictures but I haven’t had the time to sort through them yet. So here are some selected pictures..

Enjoy.

Fine handwork and carvings from the Artisan centers, I actually bought one of them. Made of out sandstone, my sculpture of the Angkor Wat statues weighed more than 5kg and its in my office right now.

My Wedding Video

To those of you who could not attend my wedding on September 01, 2008 – here’s the video of it for your viewing pleasure.

Video produced by GregsVideo.com and was perhaps one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. Both my wife and me were initially very excited about getting married, until my parent stepped in and almost ruined everything for me.

They keep insisting I do things their way, according to “our culture”, and before I knew it the entire wedding was heading off in a different direction. I’m sorry to say I never really followed Indian culture, as I find it rather outdated and shallow. Now I’m being forced into it, like it or not.

A lot arguments later (more like a war) they finally got their way but I decided to get a good video producer so I can have better memories of what’s supposed to be the most important day of my life.

My wife Sheila and me have been going out since February 2006, and after almost 2 years we got engaged. Legally, we were married on 28th May this year. However the cultural ceremonies didn’t take place till 1st September this year.

Sheila works as a journalist for New Straits Times, and she loves her job.

I thank everyone who attended my wedding, and the lunch reception in Melaka on the 14th. It really felt good seeing you guys there.

With all the wedding-related arguments now a thing of the past, I look forward to a happy life with Sheila. This video will be one of the most important things for us to remember our wedding, and I’m sure you’ll agree with me the memories look really good :)

Gobala Krishnan Interview with NST

gobala-nst

If you read the New Straits Times paper yesterday and flipped to the Tech&U section, you would have seen an interview I did recently. My interview contains some useful information on making money online, and how to avoid online scams. I just came back from Indonesia but managed to get a copy myself.

NST is expanding and improving on Tech&U to cover more relevant content related to popular topics.
