My Successful Personal Coaching Students (2011)

I’ve opened my personal coaching for a year now, and I can proudly say that some of my students are now making a great online income from selling their own digital products.

1. Rahsia Jerawat Terbongkar

jerawat-stats When Dr Haseenah attended our first coaching session, I could already tell that she very determined and focused on what she wanted to achieve.

Together, we worked on a few concepts and managed to turn her raw book transcript into one of the best selling beauty products on JomNiaga.com, Rahsia Jerawat Terbongkar.

Her site is now getting over 2,000+ visitors per month and she’s getting constant sales from JomNiaga. Hopefully soon we’ll be able to work on marketing her physical products as well.

2. Bisnes Mainan

bisnes-mainan2Affendy also joined my personal coaching with great determination, but lacked a sense of direction.

He had a lot of ideas, but we managed to narrow it down to one idea that he can do easily and the result of that is Bisnes Mainan, an ebook that reveals his own secret recipe to making money online with eBay.

In his first 7 days Affendy made more than RM3,100++ in net profit from the launch of his ebook. A really good accomplishment for his first product, and I’m sure it will reach the five figure mark very soon.

3. Seni SEO

Firdaus approached me for personal coaching, it was clear he had some ideas but was confused on how to start, due to information overload.

We managed to narrow down his options and help him produce his first ebook, Seni SEO.

It was launched through Flarebiz network so I’m not sure how we’ll he’s doing, but once he’s back from his honeymoon we’ll be meeting for our third session to discuss how we can generate more sales for it by bringing the product into JomNiaga (we now have 4000 affiliates).

Our New Training and Party Center

Our new training centre is all done (for now) and we’ve already had the first Internet marketing bootcamp here last week, with another one scheduled for this week plus a two-day hand of affiliate blogging workshop in January 2011.

Mastermind with Gobala Krishnan

Our first mastermind session for 2010, same place @ Starbucks Jaya One. Saw some regular faces and new ones as well.

Met up with Kevin and Stanley (Kuala Lumpur Real Estate), Adam (our internship student), Bob (Microg2) and Fariq Hamdan (Forex Review).

Since I am launching a new link tracking and cloaking software in July, I also gave a free lifetime account to everyone to test it out. The idea seems to be very popular with everyone, and I’m sure it’s going to be explosive when it launches.

Stay in Your Comfort Zone and Die

Do things seem to be going very well for you? Have you mastered everything there is to master that you can now do it with your eyes closed? Are you comfortable with what you’re doing, and satisfied with your progress?

News flash: You’ve been lingering in your comfort zone for too long.

In life you’re either moving forward, or you’re slipping back. There is no such thing as staying still.

Comfort zones are just an illusion of control, when the reality is that you will never really be in control. The longer you delude yourself, the harder you fall and the longer it will take for you to catch up.

In Internet marketing at least, you always have to learn new skills, new tools, and new concepts.

Take the last year for example, I had to learn all these things from scratch:

  • How to create a WordPress plugin
  • How to setup WHM and cPanel
  • How to use iPay88
  • How to use Amazon S3 and AWS
  • Everything about cloud hosting
  • How to create a web application
  • How to use jQuery functions
  • How to use WHMCS and setup a web hosting business
  • How to record and sell PLR videos
  • How to sell on stage
  • How to conduct a hands-on workshop
  • How to sell websites online
  • How to interview and recruit people
  • Managing a small company and office
  • Etc etc

Each and every one of those things were uncomfortable to deal with. I had to set aside a lot of time to learn the jargon, and a lot of money to test out a few ideas. It was definitely not in my comfort zone.

This year, I’m doing something even more extreme.

I’m attending Affiliate Summit East 2010 in New York, in August this year. I know nobody there, it will cost me a bomb, and it will suck up a lot of my time. But I have to do this if I want to tap into a different crowd, get JV partners in the future, and expand my business.

I know from previous experience that you need to keep moving forward.

I have been too complacent in the past two years, and I can feel the effects right now – lack of exposure, fewer contacts, lack of growth, and over-dependence on the same group of people to promote my products.

I was slipping back, and never realized it. I was comfortable, content, and enjoying the good life. When it hit me though, I realized that catching up is much more difficult than keeping up.

Ask yourself: Are you comfortable with your online business?

If you are, it’s time to start worrying.

Last Mastermind Session for 2009

Las weekend we had our last mastermind for the year 2009. It was a great session overall and I hope I helped Jackson and Elton get some motivation and inspiration to move forwards in his Internet business.

I was also happy to hear that some of our Rahsia ClickBank customers are getting really good results (2 sales) with very, very little traffic in just 2 months. Remember my advice – don’t abandon what is working in search for something new that may or may not work!

Personally, I love the mastermind sessions. It gives me the opportunity to understand the problems that most newbies are facing, which in turn helps me get feedback and develop more useful products and solutions.

Sometimes my customers want to get personal help from us, and want to sit down to “have a cup of coffee”. Yet, when I have the mastermind sessions (which are free for members) they don’t turn up.

Those who do show up, I believe, are the ones who are taking control of their own future and making an effort to move forward with whatever they have. Congrats to those who attended, you deserve a pat on your back!

Hands-On Internet Marketing Coaching Program

Two weeks ago we conducted our first hands-on 2-day Internet marketing coaching program. Previously, we only did one-day seminars with no hands-on. So this was kind of new and exciting for us.

My main concern was the Internet access. Although we did experience some slow Internet speed intermittently, overall the connection was good and enabled everyone to follow along step-by-step.

Overall, I think participants get more value with this type of interactive sessions. It’s amazing how a lot of people may talk about Internet marketing as if they know almost everything, but when it comes to practical stuff their skills are seriously lacking. (Hey, it rhymes!)

I love to see the delighted look on the faces of our participants when they managed to set-up their own WordPress blog, create an account at Ezine Articles, and also outsource their first writing project.

Perhaps, we’ll adopt this “Workshop” format instead of the more affordable but less intensive “BootCamp” format permanently.
