Review: MyCashJunction - Clickbank Alternative or Not?
Today I decided to have a good look at what some people have told me is the best alternative to Clickbank. Honestly the only viable alternative I know is PayDotCom.
Short of creating an account, I had a look at the system from the outside and decided it was not really a Clickbank alternative - at least not yet.
Here are a few points I managed to gather from the FAQ, to compare how it differs from Clickbank and if the difference is good or bad:
[ Legend: Good | Neutral | Bad ]
Set-Up Fees
There is no cost to join My Cash Junction [similar to Clickbank] or register your products for sale [Clickbank: $49 to sell a product].
Affiliate Commissions
Commissions range from 5% to 80% and are determined by the publisher of the product [Clickbank max at 75%]
Payments
- Pay periods end at 12:00:01am on the 1st and 16th of each month [similar to Clickbank].
- Payment is by check only [similar to Clickbank].
- Checks are mailed within 15 days after the end of the period [similar to Clickbank].
- You may request your check by DHL express courier for an additional charge of $35 [no such option in Clickbank].
Commission Charges
At the time of payment, a $2.50 accounting fee (per check) [Clickbank charges $1 per sale], and My Cash Junction’s 10% product sales fee is deducted from each check [Clickbank charges 7.5% per sale]
Product Approval Process
Log into your My Cash Junction account and click the “My Items” link. Next click “Add new item”. Now simply fill in the online form. For the download just select your word or text document. Your item will then be offered for sale by My Cash Junction and affiliates will also be able to promote and drive traffic to your item. [Clickbank has an approval process, which helps maintain the quality of products]
Product Hosting
Yes, MyCash Junction will host it for you [but their marketplace is crap, see below]
Payment Options
Uses Google Checkout[Clickbank accepts both credit cards and Paypal]

This screenshot is a listing of one of the products on MyCashJunction.com - I think the marketplace is crap, with the scrolling bars and text-only sales page.
So…
My conclusions are:
- MyCashJunction is NOT a replacement for Clickbank, and I’m hard pressed to even call it an alternative
- Whatever is supposed to be “cheaper” on MCJ is obviously just a different pricing strategy. I think in the long run it comes up to about the same (or more than what CB charges) especially if you’re MAKING A LOT OF MONEY
- Clickbank affiliates are much more aggressive and knowledgeable in promoting your products, so as a business owner I think you’ll appreciate more profit than less cost (which again is debatable, refer to 2)
I think I’ll stick to Clickbank and PayDotCom for now. Maybe in the future MyCashJunction will develop into something more.

Hi Gobala, I really want to thank you for writing
Great review. I was pretty interested when I saw you were checking out a Clickbank alternative because I always like to know my options. Looks like this one has some work to do.
thanks for this review gobala..
i looking for alternative for clickbank to make some extra cash..
Thanks for the info on MycashJunction. I’m a dusgruntled clickbank affiliate.
I have a made 3 sales of one of their products on my site. But they won’t pay me the $196 commission unitl I make 5 sales.
And Clickbank only pay commission by cheque in US$. Which is great news if you are in the UK like me. When i asked them what would be the best way of processing the cheque, they just said take it to any bank. But as anyone knows, bank charges for the same servcies can vary from bank to bank.
Clickbank are useless, and dinosaurs to boot.
