Patric Chan Mega-Branding Strategy

Patric Chan, a quite well-known Internet marketer from Malaysia has a new mega-branding strategy. You’ll notice that all his blogs, emails, websites etc are now all centered around his “Chan Do” system.

You Chan Do It Branding involves standardizing all forms of communication to center around a specific name, image or theme. For this alone, I think Patric has done a great job. I don’t find the name “Chan Do” that catchy, but as long as it serves the purpose of raising curiosity and embedding an image at the subconcious part of your brain, it’s done it’s job.

I’m thinking that most of Patric’s clients pronounce his name as Patric “Can”.

“If I Chan Do It, You Chan Do It Too!” - That’s a good tagline. Memorable and simple.

I got to think of my own branding strategy. I think the best way to do this is to ask your customers “What is the first thing they remember about you?”. Your customers will have the answer to your branding strategy. Don’t just come up with something that no one can relate to, or can relate you to.
