In 2009, I decided to take a big gamble by drastically changing our company’s business model from selling ebooks to creating web based software. We failed in our two initial projects and I spent almost all my savings on hiring developers.
Just when all seems lost, we made a breakthrough with LinkTrackr sometime around July 2010. It was the first SAAS (Software As A Service) we created that people were willing to pay for.
Two years later, we’re starting to see some really interesting growth for LinkTrackr. The awesome news is that we managed to achieve our year-end target of $10k monthly sales by middle of the year. So I guess we’ll need to set a slightly higher goal now.
When you compare that to 2011, you can see that my gamble paid off. We now have a great source of consistent – and growing – monthly income in USD.
Although we do create ebooks and information products, these are now mainly for the Malaysia market, with the sole purpose of creating more activity for JomNiaga, our affiliate marketing network for Malaysia. All our other projects are software solutions for SMEs and home based businesses.
There was a time when I was close to admitting failure and even decided going back to selling information products. Looking back now I’m happy that I decided to try on for just a while longer!

I’ve been turned on and turned off by e-commerce in Malaysia for the last 8 years. As much as I wished it was not, generally speaking e-commerce in Malaysia is still lagging behind global standards.
In fact, in my personal opinion there is a lot of untapped potential for growth in Malaysia, but very few people seem to be doing it right.
In this video I talk about the state of e-commerce in Malaysia this year and in the near future, and how we plan to change that with JomNiaga.
What do you think about the state of e-commerce in Malaysia? Let me know in the comments below.
After several months in the making, I’ve finally launched our new social media marketing automation product, Robot FaceBook!
Robot FB is an automated posting and scheduled posting system for FaceBook and Twitter. It allows you to post to multiple FB accounts and Twitter accounts from one central location. You can create simple status updated or advanced posts with images. In fact you can even create “video posts” using videos from YouTube.com

Want to make money from your blog but don’t want to do a lot of work? We’ve created just what you need!
Announcing the JomNiaga Ad Manager plugin for WordPress, which will display affiliate links on any WordPress blog based on the keywords in your content.
You can search and install this plugin directly from your self-hosted WordPress blog, or you can manually download it from the plugin page.
Then all you need to do is enter your JomNiaga username, and select the category you want to work with.
You can also select all categories, it doesn’t really matter since the plugin will only insert affiliate links that are related to your blog post.
The plugin will automatically add “Related Websites” after each post content, based on keywords you use in your post.
The plugin will also automatically convert related keyword in your post – and in your comments – to affiliate links.
Keywords are converted randomly inside each post or comment, and will also rotate different affiliate offers if the same keyword is converted more than once.
You can also disable the plugin for individual pages or posts.
To get links to all the latest products and affiliate offers, make sure you upgrade the plugin often.
There is zero work for you to do. Just install the plugin, sit back and relax while you make affiliate commissions on autopilot!
You can get more info and download the plugin here.

With all the hype about FaceBook, small businesses are racing to create fan pages and buy FaceBook ads. But most Malaysian businesses have completely ignored FourSquare, which in my opinion is much more influential.
With a FourSquare account and mobile phone, you can “check in” to the places you visit. Each check-in earns you points, badges and eventually the title of “mayor”.
It’s sort of an online “game” that you play with your friends, keeping track of your point compared to the point your friends are adding every day.
But the more important feature is the ability for users to leave reviews and “tips” about your business. If you own a physical retail outlet, and you’re not reading these reviews, you could be in for a big surprise.
Just the other day I checked in to Kenny Rogers in AEON / Jusco shopping center in Melaka. As soon as I sat down I checked in to FourSquare, and was shocked by the amount of negative reviews about the place.
Looking around I saw messy tables and annoyed customers. We ordered and waited almost 45 minutes for our food to arrive, then just decided to leave.
The reviews were spot on. I should have listened and not wasted my time at Kenny Rogers.
It seems that a lot of franchise outlets in Malaysia are getting from bad to worse. Besides, most Malaysian businesses pay almost no attention to customer service.
This is one of the reasons why more and more Malaysians are actively reviewing businesses, especially restaurants.
So what are people saying about your business?
You cannot just ignore this “small” group of people, nor can you stop them from saying what they want to say.
The best you can hope to do is to be a part of the conversation. If you can’t beat them, join them!
You may have noticed our new design – and you may hate it – but this new design actually represents a complete shift in the future direction of our company.
First of all, the old design had lasted me for almost 3 years and I still have some emotional attachment to it. So I didn’t want to change themes just for the sake of changing themes. I wanted to make a leap forward.
Over the past few months I realized that I was in danger of getting left behind in terms of mobile technology. So I started to study more about designing websites for mobile devices, got myself an iPhone 4S, and tried to catch up.
Although there is way too much hype on mobile marketing, I do understand that it is THE future. As a result my blog is now 100% mobile-friendly.
If you are reading this through a mobile phone, you already know what I mean. If you are on a web browser on your computer, resize this screen as small as possible to see the changes.
Here’s how my blog looks like on my iPhone:
The focus here is not only about readability but also to get optin leads directly from mobile users. That’s why we have such a prominent optin form that works really well for mobile.
Using the awesome StudioPress ‘Generate’ WordPress theme, I have a ‘responsive’ blog design that will match your mobile phone and tablet devices.
And using the awesome WordPress app, I wrote this blog post completely from my iPhone!
So I did manage to catch up a little bit:)
But the bigger challenges lie just around the corner. By the end of this year I want to make all my websites mobile-compatible and even launch a native iOS / Android app for JomNiaga and LinkTrackr.
Imagine getting new sales notification on your mobile phone, or being able to scan and forward QR codes of your affiliate link to your friends!
The possibilities are endless. I may have been slow to figure out mobile marketing, but better late than never!
One of the secrets why I am able to run a full-time online business with employees without having to launch a new product every month is membership sites.
Unlike a normal digital product where the customer only pays one time, with a membership site you can get recurring income every single month from one customer. In fact, for PLR WordPress Videos we have customers who have been paying us every month for the past 3 years!
Through our new Lombong Emas product, I will teach you how I create membership sites that attract people like bees to honey, and get them to stay as long as possible. Join now to watch some free videos where I show you real proof of income and LIVE examples of my membership sites.
I’ve opened my personal coaching for a year now, and I can proudly say that some of my students are now making a great online income from selling their own digital products.
Together, we worked on a few concepts and managed to turn her raw book transcript into one of the best selling beauty products on JomNiaga.com, Rahsia Jerawat Terbongkar.
Her site is now getting over 2,000+ visitors per month and she’s getting constant sales from JomNiaga. Hopefully soon we’ll be able to work on marketing her physical products as well.
He had a lot of ideas, but we managed to narrow it down to one idea that he can do easily and the result of that is Bisnes Mainan, an ebook that reveals his own secret recipe to making money online with eBay.
In his first 7 days Affendy made more than RM3,100++ in net profit from the launch of his ebook. A really good accomplishment for his first product, and I’m sure it will reach the five figure mark very soon.
Firdaus approached me for personal coaching, it was clear he had some ideas but was confused on how to start, due to information overload.
We managed to narrow down his options and help him produce his first ebook, Seni SEO.
It was launched through Flarebiz network so I’m not sure how we’ll he’s doing, but once he’s back from his honeymoon we’ll be meeting for our third session to discuss how we can generate more sales for it by bringing the product into JomNiaga (we now have 4000 affiliates).
You Too Can Achieve Great Success in 9 Hours

Over the years I’ve invested a lot of money in securing catchy, memorable domain names related to Internet marketing, blogging, e-commerce and small businesses. I had a great plan to use them for my own products and services some day.
So as the ideas kept coming, I kept buying more domain names. However, after several years I’ve finally come to realize that a lot of those planned projects will never materialize.
So, I’ve decided to sell off the domain names I no longer want to keep. All domains priced $99 and above depending on the age, keywords, demand, existing traffic levels and attractiveness.
