Number 34 on List of Blogger Salaries

by Gobala Krishnan on June 25, 2007

Galadriel email me today, alerting me that I’m number 34 (out of 120) in Paula Mooney’s New List of Blogger Salaries.

My listing there is based on my interview with the New Straits Times, and a few other Malaysian bloggers were also featured:

This is Paula’s update to her first list on blogger salaries. Feel free to copy this list to your website / blogs or refer to the full list here.

Good to see Malaysian top earner listed there.

Anyway… I’m sure that LHDN will used that list to check everyone income for the next tax period. Be sure you have all the receipt and bills on your side for LHDN checking.

I shouldn’t be at no. 10 lol, I should be below you. Already emailed Paula and she said she will update the list. Feel embarrassed to see my name above Darren Rowse, Steve Pavlina, Shoemoney, John Chow and even you.

Oh no not another LHDN spokesperson… already have a lot of LHDN representatives commenting on this blog. If they actually take the time to monitor everything I do then I must be great.

Haha… you got me right at my heart..

Anyway, as I don’t even work with any Government Agency, I’m just suggesting you to keep your financial data (info’s and bills) altogether to ease yourself on tax auditing.

Anyway… there’re many loophole I’ve seen on LHDN tax auditing which everyone can get through even their business makes million on monthly basis.

Don’t afraid bro.

Eventhough you’re in the top ten list, for sure that list is not fully accurate. Paula should aware that her list is didn’t have any cross checking for mistakes.

Anyway.. good to see you and other’s on the list.

Congratulations Gobala!! Very impressive stats & u’ve done really well in ur home business. Just curious about simple maths calculation.

‘He claimed to be making RM20,000 to RM30,000 per month…” $68,571.43 - $102,857.14 US assuming 3.5 exchange rate from RM’

Rm 20 - 30K monthly
1USD/rm3.5

= USD $5700 - $8500

ahaaaks.. but I still really admire you work as an internet intrepeneur. Well done!

Paula is psychic..lol

18 Gobala Krishnan 06.30.07 at 7:25 am

Paula lists ANNUAL income, so you need to X12 - you get the same figure. Except the exchange rate is really 3.4

No offense, but to be honest, the list doesn’t even cover 0.1% of the rich on Internet. It doesn’t even cover 1% of the rich on Internet in Malaysia.

I knew quite a few high earners who rather stay low and not have their face printed on these lists.

Where do you get those stats from? It’s easy to throw around unsupported figures :) That being said, the list has a lot of limitations of course, you can read about it on Paula’s blog.
