I’ve always complained that Malaysian companies produce crappy looking software that is years behind what users can expect from US-based software companies. NiagaKit, a Malaysian shopping cart software however, is very different.

Built ground up by Team Flarebiz, a group of young Internet marketers in Malaysia, NiagaKit has it all:
- It is a complete shopping cart system for selling physical products online
- It is very user friendly – you can get started without having to read a manual
- The stores you can create actually look pretty good, with lots of themes
- The salespage of the software is informative and attractive
Here’s how the admin interface looks like:
These guys have spent a lot of time developing and fine-tuning NiagaKit so that you (the user) benefits the most. In fact, if you plan to sell physical products online, NiagaKit is perhaps the best ecommerce solution available here in Malaysia.
The basic software costs RM999, and you can add on support, theme customization, and hosting if you want for additional cost.
At the moment though, NiagaKit seems to be missing the “Buy” button on their homepage. This is surprising as the “Buy” button is the most important button which should be placed everywhere.
I’m sure that will be fixed, meanwhile you can see the order page here: here
A demo is also available on the site so you can check out the features beforehand.

“Buy” button..
I think buy button in user mode. But the pic tell about admin mode.
TQ.
they should have use English
In defense of Niagakit, although I have no reason to defend them. It’s not necessary to build a product for everyone, or that appeals to every market. In fact the worst thing you can do is try to make everyone happy.
Perhaps the market they target is perfectly suited to their expertise and influence, and also it helps them stand apart fro the other more well-established shopping cart software out there.
Thanks for the good post. But, it will be much more better if it have an english name so where it can attract more world wide customers. In my opinion, there are still lot of people are not using Internet for their marketing purposes. This is all because they all still ignorant with the power of Internet. Hope this will be changed soon.
Ya, it’s a cool idea. As I know, if focus on local market, the online buying power for Malaysia is not as strong as other country. So is very hard for them to sell the product even with a good function and lower price.
I still think its a cool idea ;o)
Based what i know, Niagakit is currently focus on local market first. Then maybe for global i think
@ngan @gobala – support must be strong like a power rangers to handle the international client. seller always left
not for now
@Sapitt – yeah..
Yeah, the system support english language. Hope that they can make an english version of their website soon.
its still beta…hmm…thanks for the post dude. Rarely can find local ecommerce templates
I think they want to focus to the local market first before opening to the international markets.
Maybe..
That is a good question.
Why not an english website? by making a ‘Malay’ only product, they are leaving money on the table… unless it is a re-badge software meant for Malaysia only.
