Malaysia Internet Marketing Squidoo?

My online acquaintance Jag Senghera mentioned about his new Squidoo project. He’s building an online resources of all things related to Internet marketing or e-commerce in Malaysia.

If you have a blog you may want to submit it there for syndication, and hopefully (but don’t get your hopes too high) some traffic. At this point it looks like it’s just gathering some steam.

Message from Jag:

I have been experimenting with Squidoo recently and I’ve created a lens for Malaysian on Internet Marketing. The purpose of the lens is to highlight Internet marketing websites by Malaysian. Right now I am not promoting anything on this lens and neither will I do so anytime in the future. This lens us purely just to highlight the sites. The idea here is to get additional traffic to these Malaysian IM sites by working together promoting this Squidoo lens.

Any income generated from this lens will be donated to charity (Save The Children Fund ). My goal is to get this lens to the top 100 page of squidoo which mean more exposure for the lens and more traffic to the sites listed on the lens.

    Hi Jag – while your project is a noble idea, I’d like to share that simply getting to the top 100 may not get you as many visitors as you think. You’d have to treat Squidoo as you would treat a normal webpage and promote it through backlinks and other SEO techniques to get organic visits. That in fact will push you through to the top rankings. Internal votes are a very minor factor in the Squidoo lensrank algorithm and their effect fades off pretty soon. Here’s wishing you all the best with your endeavour though!

    Thanks for highlighting my squidoo lens Gobala. My goal is to get the lens to the TOP 100 Squidoo lens page. So I Invite everybody to add their Internet Marketing Blogs to this lens and remember to vote for the lens. More votes the lens get the higher it get ranks and the more exposure you can get for you blog.
