How To Create A Simple Order Process
This post is created for Mark Khoo, to answer your question on how to create a thank you page and sell an ebook on the Internet.
The simplest way to create an order process is to make sure you have all these:
- A website, with 2 pages
- An ebook
- A Paypal account (upgraded to Premier or Business)
Once you have your sales pages set-up, now you can add a “Buy Now” button to your site that allows visitors to pay you by Paypal. Once they have made the payment, they will be automatically redirected to the “thank you” page.

On the “thank you” page, you will list the download link of the product you want to sell. Please note that although yuo can name your page “thankyou.html”, it is bad practise to do so.
A lot of cheapskate idiots will be trying to guess your download page, so don’t make it easy for them. By adding a random or unique string of numbers to your download page, you can make it “un-guessable”
Now that you can see the process, all you need to do is login to your Paypal account, and go to Merchant Tools > Buy Now Button.
On the page, you need to click on “Add More Options” and you’ll see a page like where you can add a TY page URL:

Once you have that, create a Buy Now button, copy the HTML code and insert it into your Sales Page.
There you have it: A simple order process that will ensure your entire digital product delivery is 100% automated.
As shown in the diagram, you can also use 2CheckOut or Clickbank, but these are bit more complicated to set-up..

Hi Gobala, I really want to thank you for writing
Hi Gobala,
Thanks for the information on using PayPal to sell ebooks. But what do I need to do if I just want people to download from my website a free ebook? You know like inviting visitors to submit their emails and they can get a free ebook for doing that.
Thanks!
Hi Mark,
In that case, just replace the Order form with an Optin form, and once they have entered their email address redirect them to the tahnk you page..
just wanna ask you something…if this situation happens..
what if the buyer bookmark the ‘thank you page’ ??? and they give it out the page to anyone else???
