How To Create A Mega-Successful Product Launch
I usually don’t do massive product launches for any of my products. The only exception so far is the SendUsTo.US firesale which I did with Vince and Melvin, and that generated over $68,000 in 7 days. It was my first real exposure to the high-stress high-satisfaction game of creating a product, recruiting hundreds of JV partners, and launching a product on a large scale.
However, it was both fun and profitable. Our firesale allowed me to live a dream and get to the US for a 3-week holiday, and there’s still enough left for the down payment to new home I’m planning on buying. The entire process of our firesale is documented in Firesales Exposed.
This is the general process:
- Create a high-value product, but launch it as an event
- Create good salescopy and promotional materials
- Invite as many JV partners as possible, offering 2-tier commissions if necessary
- Set a launch date, and stick to it
- Offer a referral contest so your affiliates have something to look forward to other than just money
- Take advantage of the scarcity factor by increasing your price after a few days, or by limiting the product itself in several ways - this encourages people to buy now instead of postponing their decision
What I can say for sure is that it’s not as easy as you may think it is. In fact, I strongly believe that it’s near impossible for any one person to attempt a similar product launch alone, without outsourcing, partners or at least some additional help. Plus, you also need to see the big picture of the entire process, to fully understand what to do when.
