Why Financial Freedom Isn’t Possible For Some

by Gobala Krishnan on June 4, 2009

I got this email from a blog reader:

Hi Gobala,

I am trying to understand more on making money online as currently I am unemployed. I have tried to course around for opportunity and found your site. I know most of your information is in your books but currently I am really really budget tight and desperately looking for cheaper method to earn some money. Can you please help me in this? I want to be financially free just like you. Can you provide me with advice to do it?

Thank you so very much.

Dxxxxx

And my carefully crafted reply:

Hi Dxxxxx,

Yes I recommend the book, you can get it at MPH at just RM39. It’s an extremely low investment to achieve financial freedom. I haven’t come across any cheaper way.

You can’t achieve financial freedom if everything you know till now has led you away from it. A J.O.B mentality of spending nothing and getting paid doesn’t apply in the pursuit of financial freedom. RM39 is too “expensive” for some, yet I’m sure they spend twice the amount on entertainment every week.

You can’t achieve financial freedom if you don’t make sacrifices. I lived without TV for 3 years, spent thousands on books and learning materials over the years.

You especially can’t achieve financial freedom is you’re no willing in your most powerful asset, knowledge.

What got you here, won’t get you there.

I do agree that invest is needed in order to make money online. What you get depends on what you are willing to spend as investment.

I agree 100% Gobala! You must be willing to invest in the tools that will help you gain the knowledge it takes to earn money from home. Otherwise, you may spend years trying to put all of the pieces together from little bits and pieces you pick up online. Thanks for the great post!

Thanks to Gobala for another thought provoking articles.
Your gift of sharing knowledge with us is appreciated.
To render some personal comment on the interesting topic, well….
We have heard it over and over again-
There is no free lunch in this world, pay it.
What this means we have to make effort.
The 5D attitude (duduk diam diam dapat duit) must be deleted in our heart.
Why financial freedom isn’t possible for some is a very huge topic only self would know… i.e why a person doesn’t make improvement in life and take on new challenges in life? Why continue to work and be comfortable in our comfort zone?

Last but not least, if we somehow faces ‘life and death’ type of situation (not really in a literal sense), only… perhaps we may change. And finally, it is the passion that will keep us going…

Have a good day and week ahead folks.

Regards,
Alexander

The internet is the new home of the desperate. Daily I get emails from people who are down on their luck and are searching for “the answer” to riches. Over-marketing created this problem.. too many marketers hype their products and they don’t deliver. Thus creating this vicious circle where people use their last $$ without any real chance at success. Now we have so many without even a dime to give anything a chance.

One must also remember that “luck” also plays a HUGE part in one’s success, weather we want to accept that or not.

Yes, we have to be willing to learn in order to earn. And some times this will cost money, but you have to look at it as an Investment to get to your goals.
This can be something that teaches you without costing a arm and leg.

I don’t want to blame him anymore. Only hope his changes something in any part of his body. Mentality for an example (hehe..). Nothing free my dear friend. Maybe only the useless one. Of cause the higher archivement you want to get, the higher price you MUST to pay. And the price its can be variety!

I myself have tried many ways to make money and yet not seeing truly exciting result just yet, but in the process i gained something known as personal satisfaction.
I believe if we keep on trying we will not only learn something new in the process but get us nearer to success, that’s to make money. I believe it does.

Hi..
The first step is important especially if you are newbie in internet marketing. Go, go find someone which can be your mentor. Invest some money to learn his experiences. You cannot walk if you are not learning, even to crawl. Spend some RM for someone’s expericences better than you learn yourself without experiences. Then you will know how much wasting your time you have been made.

Mr. Gobala can be you mentor. So don’t waste time thinking what to do now. Move your first step. Read his experiences and apply for your journey.

I strongly agree with Gobala. To make money, whether online or offline, one has to have some capital/investment to begin. ‘Big’ money begins with ‘small’ money.

Money and technique?

What you pay to get the right technique can be considered as an investment.

Hi..i totally agree with you Gobala. Some people…sory..not some ..most people dont like to sacrifice especially for knowledge…wise man say .. no sacrifice no victory ..

16 Axmark @ Article Directory List June 9, 2009 at 8:58 am

if you search google for free ebook on make-money-online, they are tonnes of them.

It boils down to :-

1) via adsense
2) via affiliate marketing e.g. clickbank.com
3) selling own ebooks/mp3/video training/membership site.

The challenge is how to get traffic. There are another 1000s ebook about getting traffic.

Some are white techniq (article marketing, directory listing, blog commenting)
some are grey hat
some are black hat (e.g. make a post in dating website saying that we are looking for a man/women and ask them to go to our website for details. Then develop a website with adsense. Visitors might click it when they have finished reading boring info about u)

“One can’t make it big without sacrificing a little bit of money.” Then let’s put effort together!!!! controversy? controversial?!

18 omecool20 June 7, 2009 at 4:19 am

I have to agree with you, Gobala. In order to succeed, you must be committed to the business. That means investment of time and RM. You must be willing to pay the price so to speak.

19 ngan June 6, 2009 at 3:34 pm

couldn’t agree more. In Mandarin there is a saying, it goes: “Xiao Chai Bu Chu, Da Chai Bu Jing.”

Literally it means, “One can’t make it big without sacrificing a little bit of money.”

RM39 is really cheap, if paying such a small amount of money is a hurdle, I can’t imagine him paying for the domain and hosting fees.

Yes, our entertainment fees are more than RM39. Confucius once said: “Journey of a thousand miles begin with a single step.”

20 Jeff Chong June 6, 2009 at 3:02 pm

It’s very true…Most people rather spend their money on entertainment but not on something that could benefit them in the long run… I personally felt that it’s worth to spend part of our money to invest in information that may turn out to be a money generator in future!

Invest time and money wisely on information and knowledge is a MUST if one wants to achieve financial freedom!

“What got you here, won’t get you there.”

That’s a very familiar line…hmmmm

22 Marcellinus June 5, 2009 at 3:29 am

I agree with Gobala. Nothing come cheap nowadays. FYI, I’m very new in this line (making money online). Initially I told myself to wait until I have enough money to explore this online business. What happen, it drags up to 4 months. Only recently 2 months ago, I made a move to try it and slowly invest in some materials. Finally, the project which is blog is up on air. Although still new, I continue to push myself to learn new thing almost everyday. Learn from mistake, try and error, ask anyone who have experience, join forum. Another thing you need to invest is your time.
