Create an Awesome PopUp For Your Website

This is my the first software product I have developed and marketed, and you can get it for just $10.00.

lightbox-popup

As you can see from the screenshot above, Awesome Popup adds a very cool, lightbox-style popup to your website. What happens is that once the popup loads, you page will be frozen and covered by a transparent black background, with the pop-up on top. This type of popup isn’t annoying (unless you make it annoying) and cannot be blocked by browsers.

(Popup effect very similar to what happens when you click on the image above)

You can use it to greatly increase your marketing results, to display an offer or urgent news, and much more. Visit www.AwesomePopup.com – it comes with Master Resell Rights too.

Indonesian Internet Marketers To Dominate The World?

 iMarketing35

When I was on holiday in Indonesia, I met a really cool group of Indonesian Internet marketers who showed me a really good time in Jakarta, Bandung and a few other places.

Although Internet marketing in Indonesia is relatively untapped, the Internet marketers I have met are enthusiastic about the huge opportunity. After all, Indonesia has the 4th largest population in the world with cheaper labor costs than most countries and increasing Internet penetration – and these guys have a plan on how to ccapitalize.

From left (excluding me): Cornelius, Semmy Wijayanto, Francis Jimenez (imported from the Philippines) and Dee Ferdinand – a special thanks to all!

Meet these guys at the Bali Rendezvous Internet marketing event in Bali, Indonesia. Very smart guys, and even if they do not end up dominating the world, they will definitely be among the top Indonesian Internet marketers.

Blogger From Philippines

Southern Leyte Blogger” is what his blog is called, Sustines E. Laplana claims he is the first Pinoy Blogger in Southern Leyte, Philippines. A graduate of BS Electrical Engineering, he now blogs full time from from Maasin City, Southern Leyte, Philippines.

Sustines’ blog is mostly about starting your own Internet home business and making money online. However, some of the posts also diverge into unrelated topics like TV shows and what not.

Then I figured it out – the content is about anything related to the Philippines, or course. Silly me…

What to Expect at World Internet Summit Singapore

You may already know this, but still, let me just say it.

If you’re going to World Internet Summit in Singapore next weekend, you’re in for a ride. Firstly, there are so many big names at this event that just seeing them would probably inspire you enough to carry on with your Internet home business for a few months.

Let’s see, there are the founders of this event:

Then there is the small army of Internet marketing gurus:

Then there are the featured speakers, who will probably be on live video conferencing (what, you thought they’re actually speaking on stage?):

I paid SGD197 for tickets, and inclusive of travel and accommodation it will probably come up to SGD400+. I won’t be surprised that a number of people are getting in for free.

After attending AIMS and WIS in Kuala Lumpur less than a year ago, I told myself that I won’t be going for any seminars this year. So why am I, and what can you expect if you’re a first-timer?

First you need to understand the business model of the World Internet Summit series. Instead of being a seminar about how to make money online, it’s a showcase of seminars on how to make money online. Every speaker on stage runs their own seminar business, and at the end of each presentation they will sell you their own seminars.

That’s why the price is lower than most other established seminars on Internet marketing – they only need to cover the overhead costs.

Very smart, indeed.

But that’s not a bad thing, if you understand that World Internet Summit isn’t the actual seminar. It’s an event where they sell seminars.

I don’t think it will be as annoying as WIS KL since they have lesser speakers, but I wonder what they are going to do over 4 days – I haven’t managed to get hold of the schedule yet.

There’s no doubt though that you can enormous amount of content from the speakers, but often the speakers are experts in different areas on Internet marketing, and the end result as I mentioned in my previous post, can be a massive headache :)

If you’re going to WIS Singapore, do this:

  • If you’re serious about signing up for any of the packages, I suggest that you read about the speakers and their business model.
  • Determine what you need, and choose before you get into WIS because as you might expect the speakers are all excellent marketers and you don’t want to be pitting your wits against them :)
  • If you know absolutely nothing about making money online, I suggest you do with whatever Ewen Chia is offering (probably related to affiliate marketing) as I believe his package is the best value for money, and the most appropriate for newbies.
  • If you’re an intermediate marketer, I’d suggest anything by John Childers or Mike Filsaime
  • If you’re an advanced marketer perhaps try Stephen Pierce or don’t buy any of the packages at all. Take the breaks to have your own mini-seminar and sign-up new members for YOUR program… lol

So don’t say we didn’t tell you.

Me? I’m going there on holiday :)

Free Ticket to World Internet Summit Singapore

I just got my tickets to the World Internet Summit in Singapore on the 26th May. And guess what, I can also bring a friend. Would you like to be that friend?

Here’s all you need to do to get that free ticket:

Leave a comment below and tell me why you want to go to WIS, and why you deserve a free ticket more than anyone else in the world.

…and the ticket will be yours. Just leave a comment below and tell your story. My final date is on May 10, so get writing now. Best entry wins, and I’ll announce the winner.

More information on WIS Singapore: www.worldinternetsummit.com – ticket price at $197 Singapore dollars, and about 3000 – 5000 participants estimated. A great opportunity to meet and network, and listen to about 10-30 sales pitches, upsells, downsells, and get massively confused about everything (just kidding)..

Before I forget…food, travel and lodging are not covered :)

Swiping Vs Ripping People Off

Warning to everyone writing salescopy – do you understand the difference between swiping and copying?

  • Swiping – Taking bits and pieces of a salescopy, usually a phrase or two, for your own use. Swiping is about taking the essence of a salescopy (the message and the style) and applying it to yours. Some may say it’s unethical, some call it research.
  • Copying – Taking the actual text / images off a copy and putting it in yours. This is illegal, and a violation of copyright.

I respect every Internet marketer. I know that they work hard, and I don’t want to accuse anyone when I probaby have my own mistakes as well.

But today I went to [edit: removed as author has removed offending text], and I while I was reading the salescopy I thought to myself “This looks and sounds like mine”.

And what do you know? It is mine!

The product is a collection of videos about blogging and sells for $47. On the surface it looks like a well-designed and well-planned launch, but looks can be deceiving. [Read more...]

APCN2 Causes Internet Service Disruption in South East Asia

APCN2

Problems with the uderwater submarine cable APCN2 (Asia Pacific Cable Network 2) the past few days forced the Internet connectivity in some countries in Asia Pacific to a standstill.

I started noticing something was wrong when my friends started calling me up and asking if I had any Internet connection.
The APCN2 cable connects countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Philipines, Taiwan, and South Korea to Japan, and then on to the major Internet backbone in the USA. Since all my sites are hosted in the US, my customers in these countries had problems accessing the sites, placing orders and even downloading their products.

Customers in the US should not be affected by this disaster. All should be well for everyone by now, as you can plainly see I’m able to access my blogs again :)
