Well, lets analyze the two words..

• YouTube – It displays related YouTube video thumbnails in your blog’s sidebar. You can customize your keywords to getter more relevant videos.
• Monetizer – It helps you make more money by monetizing the full video display page. Add AdSense, banner ads or other advertising media.

YouTube Monetizer is very easy to install and works on any WordPress theme that supports widgets. Plus, you can customize the appearance with the custom CSS box.

This plugin works great for any type of blog, but it works especially well for “niche” content blogs, especially if you use Google AdSense on them.

I’ve grown disenchanted with AdSense in recent times, and I think Google AdSense is a dying trend thanks in a big part to Google themselves. Google is now a billion dollar publicly listed corporation more interested in going after the big fish. They don’t need, or want, someone like me. Perhaps this feeling was in part to the way they brutally banned my AdWords account with no valid reason or explanation.

I’ve already sold off most of my AdSense sites and blogs, as a final “cash-out” strategy and the price was pretty good. You can earn about 10 to 15 times a site’s monthly AdSense income, which shows that a lot of people out there still want to hold on to Google AdSense for two simple reasons:

• It is truly the most hands-free “residual income” method of making money online, even today
• It’s still one of the easiest to master for newbies trying to make a buck or two online

For me though, since I’ve decided on my direction for 2010, AdSense seems to be a bad fit. At my stage right now I know that whatever effort I can put into building an AdSense site I can apply to creating software or information products that will generate a much better income, with much better satisfaction.

Of course AdSense will still be used on test concept sites etc, but for the most part, I’m done with AdSense.

A lot of people have been making money with Google AdSense since well… the beginning of time. However around 2007 AdSense made a lot of changes to their program and their payout has been decreasing since. Maybe Google decided to keep more money for themselves, after all they never really let you know how much you’re supposed to be paid.

Yes you can still make money from Google AdSense, but it’s definitely not as lucrative as it used to be. Yet strangely enough, it’s still one of the easiest ways to make your first few cents online. The problem is that it can stay at “just a few cents daily” if you’re not sure of what you’re doing, and it’s not going to make you a millionaire either.

I think you can make your own conclusions on this one. Is AdSense on it’s way out slowly, or do we need more time to judge?

If you want to make money from AdSense, then you can either do what the newbies do, or follow in the footsteps of hardcore AdSense marketers.

Here’s what a newbie would do:

• Find a topic that he / she cares about
• Do some basic keyword research
• Built a site / WordPress blog
• Write related content and get link
• Wait for AdSense money to come flowing in

Here’s the problem with that model: what if you targeted a low-paying AdSense niche market? Wouldn’t you have wasted all those months of hard work?

The people who make a lot of money from AdSense want to know one very important thing before they even build a single web page: how much does the niche pay?

The problem is, Google never reveals exactly how much money they or you make per click. Although there have been many ways in the past to “guess” high-paying AdSense keyword, I recently subscribed to a service called Keyword Country which makes it so much easier.

Keyword Country is a keyword research tool, similar to Keyword Elite.

However, it gets straight to the point by giving you exactly the information you want. Plus, it’s also much easier to use and has a lot of additional plugins you can add on if you’re really crazy about keyword research.

I also realized, Keyword Country gives you way more results when you type in a non-English keyword. Plus, you can also search for keywords by country. So for example if I wanted to see what are the keywords people from Malaysia are typing in related to “blogging” I can do that easily.

Keyword Country will cost you a bit, but if you’re seriously thinking about building lots of profitable niche sites you should go out and at least give it a try.

Indeed, how much money you make in niche marketing is very directly influenced by Google’s ever changing policies for Google AdWords. It affects your Google AdSense earnings, your affiliate sales, and even your own product sales. Let me explain how.

Google’s AdWords program is where the advertisers pay lots of money to place ads on Google for their product. Some of these ads are displayed on the Google search engine itself, while an equally large portion is displayed on Google’s “content network”. The content network is made up of millions of websites belonging to the average Joe like you and me. We place a small code called “AdSense” on our websites so when our visitors click on our ads, we make money.

In summary, there will be no AdSense is there was no AdWords. The two are more related than you can think. Any policy change Google makes on either service effect the other. Sort of like twins.

Sometimes AdWords policy changes can mean that an entire niche market is effected and loses its profitability. An example below, where Google’s new policy disallows anyone selling “template sites for ad networks”.

This means that if you produce web templates or blog themes for AdSense, Yahoo Publisher Network or similar programs, you can no longer pay for traffic and make sales. That means, your affiliates lose out of a huge traffic source too. That also means, if you have a website showcasing such templates but monetizing it with Google AdSense, all of a sudden your clicks count for way less money than it used to.

You get up one day wondering “What happened?”. Why was I getting $1.00 per click for AdSense last month and now it’s barely $0.10? Since the most profitable websites or merchants for your site have been disallowed by Google in AdWords, your AdSense ads now show less targeted merchants, and you earn much less.

The answer is, Google. What can you do about it? Nothing except move on to a new niche.

It’s not healthy that so much of online marketing revolves around a few companies like Google, PayPal, eBay and ClickBank. Historically these companies don’t really understand online marketing as much as you’d expect them to. They have the power to kill off niche markets, especially those they don’t like or just don’t understand.

Traffic Manuscript is a 2-part ebook on generating traffic to your websites, and is mostly based on an Internet marketing seminar in Japan.

Kelvin Hui is a low-profile web marketer who focuses on building both White Hat and Black Hat sites, but this manual itself is about White Hat strategies, and how you can use them in today’s Internet marketing world to make money from Google Adsense and other content-based advertising models.

The 2 parts of traffic manuscript:

• Main manual – This is where Kelvin Talks about getting traffic, SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and other traffic methods using user-generated content and portals (an online dating portal example is given)
• FirendEarth.com Case Study – A case study of his video website that generates millions of unique visitors every month and eventually became a partner of Yahoo Japan.

I have been trying to reverse-engineer Kelvin’s sites, especially FriendEarth.com, which is a video posting website that rewards it’s users for posting content (with Adsense sharing).

His site was later included as a partner of Yahoo Japan and marketers all over the world started to hear Kelvin Hui’s name a bit more often.

Kelvin was perhaps the first to come up with the idea, but sometime last year he also offered his script for sale, after which I noticed a few knock-off sites built on the same concept.

I know for a fact that Kelvin still makes about a six figure income in Google Adsense every month from his high-traffic websites. (You can see proof at the Traffic Manuscript site)

A Few Things You’ll Love About Traffic Manuscript

It’s always good to know that you’re getting first hand knowledge from someone who knows exactly what he’s doing.

And that’s what Traffic Manuscript is about. Kelvin shows you the strategies he uses to generate massive traffic, and he also reveals some important case studies.

No filler words to make the ebook thicker, and not much fluff. Lots of screenshots, which I personally like (I’m a visual person).

A Few Things You May Not Like

The main manual itself is a report on his seminar presentation in Japan, and most of the examples are from the Japanese market. On the other hand, this could be great exposure on a market that not many people can talk about.

(Kelvin is based in Hong Kong, but he has offices in a few countries including China and Japan).

If you’re particular about language and grammar, then this ebook may disappoint you. There are no spelling mistakes, but the English used does sometimes seem “grammatically incorrect” at times.

But if you’re up for the content, you’ll have to ignore these, and realize that it’s not an English lesson.

After all, Kelvin’s not talking about writing content – he’s talking about user-generated content.

Now I didnt’ buy Joel Comm’s Adsense Templates so I can’t comment on that. Maybe someone who HAS used it can leave a comment below.

However, here’s a popular opinion that was circulating at the time of launch:

Why needs hundreds of Adsense templates? You just need ONE that works, and multiply it a hundred times on your websites.

That makes sense to me.

The same goes with Blogger templates or WordPress Themes. You only need one that works, and you can customize a header and colors for all your other sites. Of course by using every variation of RGB colors you make much more money selling templates

But that’s not the point. This post isn’t really about Adsense Templates by Joel Comm.

The point is that video marketing via YouTube or Google Video is a massive opportunity to get more exposure for your business.

Joel’s Video is polished, professional and persuasive. And I do believe that’s his real voice… damn!

Video blogging is also big, and if you have a blog Liz Tomey’s videos will show you exactly how it’s done.

I’m starting 2 video based membership sites, and I’ll be looking into video blogging as a serious source of traffic for them.

What you can do:

1. Get a video recorder (digital is better) or Camtasia Studio
2. Record yourself speaking or what’s hapenning on your screen (focus on content)
3. Make 10% – 20% of your videos (the best) available for free on Your Tube
4. Make an offer, mention your website URL in the free versions, and make it visible on the video itself
5. Study YouTube to see what keywords bring up the most amount of videos with the most amount of impressions
6. Use those keywords as description, and upload your videos

Well, that’s about it I think.
