Jeremy Burns just launched his Sourcecode Goldmine 10, and if you’re into PLR products you have to take a look at the amount of good stuff you get for a very low price.

I used some of his earlier products and I’ve always been extremely satisfied. SCGM is well known for being extremely affordable considering the massive amount of contents you get with each product.

Version 10 is no different. What we have is is an excellent mash up of varied products that are well composed and a great value. Here’s some of the PLR websites you get:

How Some Internet Marketers Create Products

myeasybutton A lot of Internet marketers out there use a very simple formula to come out with new products. This is it:

  1. Search for a catchy domain name, and register it
  2. Screenshot as many ClickBank earning reports as possible
  3. Create a long and boring salespage, add more screenshots
  4. If it sounds and looks good, create the product

Sounds silly?

Think about it – how many products can you find on ClickBank today that seem to follow this formula? There’s othing really new about the information in the product itself. Just a different “spin” on things, and it all starts with the domain name.

Who am I to day what’s right and what’s wrong, when the formula works for them?

What do you think?

Overnight Profits from Membership Sites

Membership sites are a great way to make money online, build a “community” of customers, and conquer a niche market. The problem is, there’s a lot of work to be done to retain members, add new content, and reach new customers.

My friend Kidino’s Overnight Membership Site promises to give you exactly what you want – profitable membership sites minus the hard work. The main idea of this product is how to build membership sites with free/ user-generated content.

Resources for Building Your First Mini-Site

Ok I guess the most important question most people would have is, what is a “mini” site and how is it different from any other type of website?

Firstly, a “mini site” serves a very specific niche market, and delivers very specific content, usually in the form of a membership. Mini-sites are not like blogs or other type of content sites; they sell access to the information within. A mini-site can have at bare minimum two pages; the sales page and the download page. Larger minisites may have more pages but generally its not above 10 pages.

Although mini sites do benefit from search engine traffic, it is not the most important factor. Since all the really good content is behind closed doors, Google will never be able to index it and give it a favorable search engine ranking. Therefore if you want to create and sell minisites, you need affiliates – and LOTS of them. Knowledge in PPC or Pay Per Click marketing helps as well, especially when your site is new and you don’t already own a list you can market to.

The most important part of any minisite, besides the content, is the sales page. You need to understand how to write basic sales copy that sells, and also arm yourself with a lot of sales page graphics and other images you can use to make your copy look appealing. Creating a pure-text sales copy is a big mistake, but most people still do it.

gimpOf course, in the long run you’ll also want to learn basic image creation and image editing skills to help lower the cost of creating minisites. Although Photoshop is the best option if you can afford it, you can also use GIMP (www.gimp.org) as an alternative.

With basic GIMP tutorials you can get all the skills you need as far as marketing minisites is concerned, but you probably can’t make use of cool stuff like e-cover scripts and templates that can only be used in Photoshop.

Here are some other resources for building minisites:

  • iStockPhoto.com – Get images / icons / illustrations to design or complement your minisite
  • SnagIt.com – Create screenshots of images and websites, very useful when creating more technically-oriented information products
  • Amember – Create secured members area, multiple-level memberships, and recurring-payment memberships

How to Create Your Own Ebook Covers

I’ve just uploaded a video on creating your own e-book covers. A lot of people know that I generally design all my ebook covers, not because I’m cheap but because I want to create some sort of branding effect. But of course, it IS much cheaper than to pay someone else to do it.

You can get the same scripts I am using, called “action scripts” for Photoshop at www.OneClickEcovers.com – just enter the coupon code GKDOTCOM to get $10 off. Here’s the video:

If that version is not clear enough, you can also watch the ones I have on Vimeo or the Daily Motion version.

Of course, just because you have the scripts don’t mean that you can create good looking covers – you need some basic tactics as well. The One Click Ecovers package also comes with it’s own tutorials, but let me explain briefly here how to do it:

  1. Decide what cover you want – ebook, reports, ezine, software box or DVD box?
  2. Get a good background image from www.istockphoto.com or other free stock photos sites
  3. Keep your designs simple if you’re not that good in Photoshop
  4. Make 3 different sizes of your e-cover to make sure you can use it anywhere
  5. I prefer to save the images as PNG for better quality but you can save it as JPG if you want

$15,000 in 24 Hours with Our SendUsTo.US Firesale

This must be the biggest project I’ve done to date, and it really paid off. $15,000 in sales for the first 24 hours, with 6 days to go.

Our target is about 1,500 sales, which should be enough to get us to San Francisco for WIME come September 2007.

If you haven’t purchase the “Musketeer Package” yet, as I’m writing this you have about 4 days left. You’ll get 100 high-quality products, all with resell rights, that you can also resell to others and keep 100% of any price your charge.

But the results could have been better if not for some server problems we had in the first hour. Although we were prepared, the amount of traffic exceeded our expectations and in the end our TWO dedicated servers chocked, suffocated and died.

I met up with Vince and Melvin at my home to celebrate, joined by Khai and Edmund. Only Vince and me were on the PC at launch time, and a couple of affiliates had already accidentally promoted earlier.

Our celebrations turned to panic when the servers went down barely minutes after the first sale came in, and let me tell you when that happens all you can do is contact your hosting support guys, and pray that the nightmare ends soon.

Hopefully for us it did end pretty soon, and even with the slow moving servers we managed about 30-40 sales in the first 2 hours. Vince had programmed his MS Outlook to play a “ka-ching” sound when each sales notification came in.

So when we finally relaxed and got to dinner at about 10.30pm, we continued to hear ‘Ka-Ching” every 3 minutes.

The next day I managed to edit the salescopy and increase the conversion rate from 2.35% to 5.6%, which meant that although we were getting less traffic on that day, we still managed to equal the amount of sales on the first day.

Then yesterday, I managed to increase the conversion to 7.89% and to tell you the truth I was shocked to be able to bump it up that high. Some JV partners like Ian Del Carmen and John Delavera started offering some crazy bonuses too, so that bumped up our sales again.

We’re hoping to go the distance and achieve 1,500 sales by the time the firesale is over. On day 1 we were quite skeptical of this target, but now it looks like within reach.

As I’m writing this we’re closer to 900 sales, which is about $33,300 or more.

Clickbank Recurring Payments Option

This is a feature a LOT of people have been waiting for. But now that Clickbank has recurring payments, should you use it?

I was looking at the FAQ page today, and since I am already selling the WordPress Adsense System product on Clickbank, I was interested to set-up a new monthly recurring option as an advanced package.

This means that I can now use the advanced membership features of Amember Pro, and yet accept payments via Clickbank. All charges are processed automatically, and affiliates are paid off automatically too.

Here’s how the set-up page for recurring products looks like:

Similar to recurring payment options offered by Paypal or 2Checkout, the Clickbank version also has options to set the initial price, rebill price, frequency and duration.

But their definition of each is slightly different:

  • Initial Price – The price the customer pays for the initial purchase of a recurring billing product. The initial price is equal to or greater than the rebill price.
  • Rebill Price – The price the customer pays for each subsequent payment for the duration of a rebill product. The rebill price must be equal to or less than the initial price.
  • Frequency – The timeframe for which rebilling will occur (ex. monthly, quarterly). The initial frequency allowed for recurring billing is monthly.
  • Duration – The number of times a customer is billed (ex. 2-99).

However, Clickbank says that the Initial Price and Rebill Price must be the same value, which means that you cannot offer a cheaper “trial” membership, or even give the first month free.

A few other key points:

  • Recurring products are also subject to the same 8-weeks money-back guarantee
  • Clickbank fees are 7.5% for the Initial Payment and a whopping 9.9% on the rebill price, all of which are deducted from the sales price so it effects both publishers and affiliates
  • Currently, recurring billing products can be purchased using credit/debit cards only – this is sad because I’m sure most people would prefer to use Paypal too

So for me, I’m still thinking whether I should use the Clickbank option. After all, I already have access to more powerful software like JV Manager Fantasos, in which you can use multiple payment options, and still credit the affiliate.

Please also not, that Clickbank only provides recurring payments which you can use to start your own membership site, but they do not offer you any membership site software to create members-only access.

Professional Web Graphic Set for Online Marketers

How can you avoid paying someone $40 – $200 to design a professional web graphic set?

Well if you look hard enough, the answer won’t be too far away. My friend Aurelius Tjin mentioned his Copy & Paste Web Graphics a couple of days ago, and I just purchased it. For under $10, it’s a no brainer really.

If you have a direct response type of website (salesletter pages selling e-books or software), this will be the perfect solution that helps you save time and money. You can mix and match the header sets, icon sets, order button sets, background sets, e-book cover sets and other professional web graphics to create an unlimited amount of web pages. In fact I think the web graphic set is meant for these type of sites, but you can also use the header graphic sets for your blog or other type of sites.

Check out all the Internet marketing forums. There’s bound to be at least one post each day about the topic of “web graphics”. There’s quite a few designers out there but what’s lacking is a professional web graphic set that comes ready-made with styled buttons, seals, bullets, minisites and more like the CopyAndPasteGraphics set.

You can also try one of the advanced packages or even join the site as a member and continue to received full web page designs every month.

I think this is good value for money, and even if you don’t need to use it right away you can still get it while it’s so cheap and add it to your design library. It will definitely be useful someday. Sign-up here.
