Beginner’s Guide to Creating Software
I remember the first time I tried to create software on the Internet. It almost seemed like the programmer spoke in a completely different language!
If you’re planning to create your own software on the Internet, you’ll need The Newbie’s Guide to Making Software, for 3 very simple reasons:
- Most programmers are too lazy to think - If you get a programmer and just tell him “I want to create a viral website”, he’s not going to do it. You need to tell the programmer exactly
- What programming language to use - PHP, ASP, Java, Javascript or Perl?
- What type pf licenses to deal with - Open source, GNL, GNU?
- The logic of the software - What is the process flow? How does the program start, and where does it end?
- You can get cheated easily - Imageine going to a workshop, with no idea what a car engine is or where to find it. You’re going to get cheated in every possible way by the mechanic and at the end of the day, foot a bill for thousands.
- You can end up with useless junk - Even if you do get an honest guy who’s hardwoking enough to think and give you inputs on how to do it, if you have no idea what you want in the first place you’re going to end up with junk that you can’t sell.
Do your homework first.
If you’re from a non-technical background, get a partner with some technical experience. If you can’t do that, then at least educate yourself first about the basics of software development, programming languages, software marketing, and technical issues as well as copyrights and patents.
That’s a whole lot to learn! If you want to cheat, then you need this guide:
