31 Followers On Twitter By Doing Nothing
I logged into my Twitter account finally after setting it up ages ago and found that I already have 31 followers. It’s important to say that I have never posted a single tweet before today and my profile is completely empty. Yet people found me and became my “followers”.
What confuses me is how did I start “following” 7 people when I didn’t even use this darn thing? Perhaps this has happened automatically at some point when I read other people’s tweets?
Some twitter expert please come and share some light here, please, I beg you.

You are different, you build your name on few of your blogs, not surprising to see that!
Twitter are quite addictive.
It is just like subscribing to other people’s list.
There will definitely be people who are interested
in what you are doing, so they will go to Twitter
and search for your name.
Especially your subscribers.
As for you following others, you may have accidently
click on other people’s twitter url.

I think your ‘followers’ are you fans, but i have no idea how you could’ve ‘follow’ those 7 people. But there are free third party service, for us to follow back our followers automatically.

Hi, I have tested what Gobala mean.
I do not follow Mike. But suddenly I became his ‘follower’ after visited his twitter page even I do not click his ‘follow’ button. I think there is ’something’ and i’m impressed with it.
methinks that they are all spammers of first order!! Leave that alone.. initially when i was fairly new on twiiter.. i use to thank even the spammers.. and of course, i did not get any response..
Its very simple bro.
You must have been forwarded the invitation to join by this people before this, and your email has been stored in their database.
When you joined, twitter remembers this, and automatically adds you in as their follower..
Its just like Facebook.
Of course, there is also some application out there that automatically adds you up as followers..

I’ve had my twitter account now for a few weeks and I alreay have about 89 followers. Because I am a freelance writer, fashion and style editor and problogger, I find it hard to keep up but what I want to know is:
1.) how can you reply to someone that is following you without having to follow them??
2.) how can I use twitter to build subscribers on my blog?
