27 And Moving On
February 1 - I’m now officially 27 years old!
The only bad news is that this time around my birthday fell on Federal Territory public holiday here in Malaysia, and coincidently also on Thaipusam. My parents were more excited about Thaipusam unfortunately 
About a few week ago I noticed something on me that made me jump - a single strand of white hair!
I know I’m overreacting, but I never thought I’d see that till I’m in my mid-30s.
I can’t believe it’s only been a year since I decided to climb out of the quicksand I was in. The lowest moment of my life seems like something that happened years ago! One year later I’m pretty much comfortable and have everything I want, but I’m still as ambitious as ever.
In case you’re wondering, the name below mine is Thanesh, my younger brother. His birthday is on 2nd February, so my parents decided to celebrate it together. He’s 20 this year.
My brother is autistic, and it took my parents a while to really accept that. But they are fine with that now. My brother is part of the overall reason why I’m working so hard now. I just want to make sure that I can create some sort of financial security for him if my parents (and me) are no longer around.
