What makes a great affiliate?
Is it having immense technical knowledge or sublime understanding of how the Internet works? Is it having a big mailing list or a big advertising wallet?
Based on what I heard from Andrew Wee, my top affiliate for August 2006, it all boilg down to three things:
An affiliate marketer for just a couple of weeks, Andrew already made $234 in his Clickbank account the past week alone.
Today Malaysia celebrates her 49th birthday. I want to wish Happy Independence Day to all Malaysians. Here’s one of the most vivid images you can have in your mind as a Malaysian – the late Tunku Abdul Rahman holding his hand aloft and shouting passsionately…”Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!”
But don’t confuse independence with freedom. In this context they may mean the same thing:
Independence: the fact or state of being independent
Freedom: absence of subjection to foreign domination or despotic government
But freedom means much more than that. I hope to see more freedom in Malaysia, especially freedom of speech and freedom of religion.
Maybe at the end of the day the only freedom we truly have is the freedom of thought. But are you using that freedom?
This is not a sermon or a motivational prep talk. It’s a reminder to myself just as much as to anyone reading this:
The next time you think “It’s impossible”, know that you have the freedom to think “How do I make this possible?”
The next time you think “I’m not good enough”, know that you have the freedom to think “How do I get good at this?”
You have the freedom to think differently. You have the freedom to CHOOSE how to think.
If you think you can, and you tell yourself often enough that you can, your mind will believe it. According to The Law of Attraction, if you think you can, then life will respond to you and make everything possible.
Practise your freedom of thought today.

I’ve been asked “What is the easiest way to install WordPress?”
The easiest way is to ask your webmaster to do it for you 
Seriously though, since most people (including me) don’t have a full time webmaster, then using Cpanel is definately the easiest way.

If you haven’t got a host yet, try our recommended hosting. When getting a web host, make sure they have Cpanel. I makes installing, moving, upgrading and deleting WordPress much, much easier.
This year I met over 30 people who told me they wanted to publish and sell their ebooks on the Internet. Yet since early January 2006 I seem to be the only one doing it.
Of course they have their “reasons”, which are actually just lame excuses to stay in their comfort zone and do nothing. Here are the common excuses:
Ok, let’s work with those excuse in mind. Here’s the simple way to do it:
Now you’re saying “It can’t be that easy”
Why not? It doesn’t HAVE to be difficult, does it? If you’ve been saying to yourself that you want to write an ebook, just do it now. Chances are after you’ve drafted the 10 chapters and 40 subchapters, you’ll keep on adding another paragraph here and there.
And after 5 days you’ll find that your ebook is done.

Would you trust an email from someone called BrownEyes? Probably not.
That’s because when doing business, people want to know your REAL name, not some weird nickname. Using a nickname only implies that you don’t want others to know who you really are.
I think it’s rather funny how people miss this simple yet powerful point to promote yourself as a professional marketer and at the same time efforlessly promote your newsletter, website or affiliate products.
The worst part: some people don’t even know how their emails appear to their readers or prospects.

I hate goal-setting. I still do.
I think I picked up the hatred while wasting my time in countless MLM programs. I had to set a goal to make a million bucks when I didn’t even know how to make my first dollar.
However when I met Alex Mandossian in May 2006, I found a whole new meaning to goal-setting. That day Alex thought me a simple, yet powerful goal-setting technique. Here it is:
I know it sounds silly, but think about it. Can you, if you REALLY tried, turn your Yearly income into your Quarterly income?
If you’re making $20 a month on the Internet, you’re making $240 a year. If you really worked hard, with the proper direction, can you make $240 in a Quarter (3 months) instead of a year?
Step 1 will be your most difficult, as it involves a lot of self-belief. But it can be done. When I made a kamikaze move to quit my job and get full time into Internet marketing, I made $729 in my full time job as an account exec, and about $600 a month from the Internet.
I decided to take a pay cut, and try to survive on $600 a month. In other words my income reduced by $729.
I asked myself “What is the worst that can happen? Will I be begging on the streets?”
The answer was NO. With that realization, I found new confidence to do what I thought was right. So I quit my meaningless job.
In May 2006 I turned my Yearly income into my Quarterly income.
In fact, together with my other sources of affiliate & Adsense income I made $3,310 that month and slightly less for the next two months.
So I achieved Step 1. I turned my yearly income ($7,200) into my quarterly income.
So the next step for me is to turn my Quarterly income ($7100) into my Monthly income. I am determined to do it.
If I can make $3173 in four days, I think I’m ready to move to the next level. If I can make $7100 in a month, then I would have achieved Step 2.With the WordPress Adsense System I am confident of even exceeding that target…
I can’t talk about Step 3 – 5 because I haven’t been there yet. According to Alex Mandossian, who did, you’ll look back at the entire process and see things in a new light. Everything will seem easier.
I can understand this… when I was studying in college it seemed impossible to cope with everything. Now college life seems like a holiday.
So if you’re disappointed with what you’re making on the Internet, and have no idea how to make more, follow this simple 5-step goal setting strategy.
It’s simple and motivating at the same time. Plus, it’s RELATIVE. Instead of setting your goals according to what others earn, you’re setting a relative goal against what you’re currently earning.
Forget about what others earn or claim to earn. Challenge yourself to double YOUR income according to the 5-step plan.
