Would You Pay $10,000 To Build 6 Websites Yourself?
I knew about such a company operating in Singapore and Malaysia with their ridiculous offer some time back but forgot about it until I read that post.
The question: “Would you pay $10,000 for 6 websites that you have to build yourself?
That’s exactly the offer made by an so-called Internet marketing company to trick people out of their money. Maybe you wouldn’t but there are tons of others out there who don’t know a single thing about the Internet, and these people are easy prey to vultures like this.
I know the name of the company but I won’t mention it here. What I can mention is how they operate…
The company will offer you tons of free gifts, free seminars and even buy you lunch at a fancy restaurant. They will make you feel special since it’s a one-on-one experience. However, after eveything is said and done you will be handed a bill to pay $10000 for 6 websites that YOU have to build…
That’s insanity. With $10,000 you can hire someone else to build, design, write and market 10 websites for you if you want. In reality all it costs you for a single website is:
- $9.00 for the domain name
- $30 - $90 a year for hosting
- Frontpage - free
- $60 - $120 for any kind of professional web template
What you can do is warn others about such and activity. Tell them how checp it really is to start their own website so that they don’t get sucked into this trap.
You need to understand that most people are used to spending $10,000 for an offline store or business, so if they are clueless about the Internet they will assume that they are getting a great deal because they get 6 “storesonline”.
If you’re from Malaysia and you want to learn from a truly successful Internet marketer, I recommend that you get Patric Chan’s System called You Chan Do It.
I am well aware of the comments you may have heard about Patric, but facts are facts. Patric is probably the most successful Malaysian on the Internet. His English may not be perfect, but if you understand that content matters above everything else, than You Chan Do It is a great investment.
I’m trying to get Patric to agree to a public teleseminar so you can find out more. I hope that turns out well.

$10,000 for 6 websites?
i like to build myself.
):
With all respect to Gobala i’ll like to mention the name to warn other people.
You can read more at:
http://www.complaints.com/august2002/complaintoftheday.august20.16.htm
is it true that this kind of company exists? or you just made that up to promote Patrick Chan product?
Ok since Jonathan already mentioned the name of the company… yes there is such an operation… last heard they were doing lunches in JW Marriott…
There were in Malaysia once, and I heard they are back again under a different business model / name…
i went for this company free info session at jw marriot/ritz carlton- mainly to get the free lunch & free organiser.
then split the rm150 for 2 person with another auntie to attend the full-day workshop.got crappy 2 pieces of murtabak for lunch and biscuits for tea. but at least i got to learn some new stuff which would probably take me weeks to learn my seaching online myself.
did some google search on this company b4 goin for the full-day workshop, so actually found out how bad this company’s reputation is.
unfortunately..went there and saw many uncles & aunties signing up for these 6 website & paying rm18,000. its really really sad seeing them get conned..i did approached some of them when they were sitting and contemplating to join or not..but most of them were so stuck up, confidently though this is a good deal (probably coz the sales ppl are all mat-saleh) and didn’t want to listen to me.
i wish i had printed out some of the articles i read online.
but its really realy sad to see malaysians so vulnerable to let their money go like tt just to these fast-talking mat-salehs…
Hi Gobala and future internet millionairs of Asia
Thank you for your email..regarding the 10k for 6 websites..hahaha if anybody would like a real testimony on the whole experience..i would be more than happy to relate my personal acount with these suave foreigners who are.. well basically taking advantage of innocent victim who are eager to improve their financial standing and with no knowledge what so ever in this very dangerous cyberworld. I think theres alot more criminal in the cyberworld than it is in my world. But anyway thats just personal opinion. Right now i am still strugling to bloody build a homepage for one of my 3 stores that i have bought together with my aunt..she has given up hope on her 3 online stores..user friendly..yeah right..i think its easier to do it on frontpage!..she had a few follow up calls from these people after the purchase offering extra coaching with a very high price tag! How about that ayy??? Me? I still hope to make the best of my stupid investment so I’m still trying to piece the bits of information together…and hopefully after attending Derek Gehl’s Internet marketing bootcamp this weekend..i hope to make some serious money asap (thats what they promise)…but this time i have promised myself to not buy anything from these people without doing my research first…so till then…wish me luck..to “my biz” u r like the guardian angel that god has sent to warn these innocent victims from falling prey to those evil charmers…if only the victims would listen…
HAHAH! Lucky I didnt sign up! I knew it was really NOT my cuppa tea. I\’ve ben doing my own research and attempts to set up my own online biz so I thought attending to this company\’s FREE preview and dinner would further benefit me. Although I paid the RM150 for it and my ass really ached sitting the whole day in the said hotel listening to them talking rubbish (but some were really worth keeping) I knew right away that paying RM10k wasnt the real deal. To those aunties and uncles that day, I pity them very much and hope this wont happen again.
Two thumbs up for Patric. He is the real deal.
Hmm, I have meet him and act, he is kind and very nice. He is just serious and he mean business. Sometimes people mistake that with being arrogant.
i hope this email is read by many people out there.
I bought and attended Patric Chan’s, “Adsense Publishing Business Secrets” in Penang, besides him, had the opportunity met with Kelvin Hui from HK, jv partner for the above product.
Arrogant?… noooo.
with regards to comment by \”mybiz\”..
I thought the cost was more than than… but if you say it\’s RM18,000 then I think i got my facts wrong. Still that\’s a lot to pay…
Thanks mrG. the powerful knowledge to make it clean and clear and become act like the STAR about this matter.I already read Patric Chan to let make our website KISS AND HOT..I think this price to much.Because today we have a lot of company wih better cost.So think and make compare your self my friends.First make your research. I happy u success on your own way.
RM10k or RM18k for 6 website?!!!! wow…dam…I prefer to buy my own server and upgrading my pc rather that pay something doesn’t seem certain worth…thanks bro
Well, that’s terrible Gobala..paying such a big amount of money for only 6 websites. Thanks for reminding the public (online community) about this syndicate.
Oh…I met Patric Chan in Kota Kinabalu for the World Internet Summit preview and have spoken with him in person. He is such a simple guy but lots of online vision. I’ve tested one of his strategy to promote affiliate products gained during this preview and it is so promising, and at this point of time have have receive commissions anyway. I’ve to learn a lot to improve my internet business …..coz’ I’m just a newbie.
P/S: sorry if this is out of this thread…Just wanna ask your (Gobala) comments on the contreversial (wrong spelling?) free ebook entitled “The Death Of Adsense and The Return To Common Sense”. TQ
Hi there guys. Just to keep you guys on the positive side of everything. I am one of the guys whom has bought the package from the said company. To be honest, I paid less than RM 8K for the 6 sites and all. Thats correct, I negotiated from 13k to less than 8K if i could pay on the spot. Of course i am still paying off the credit card companies for this investment. Thats when i realised how much they were willing to come down on the price because it was seriously inflated. I settled for 8 K as i thought that paying slightly more than RM 1K for each website seemed reasonable and even if i burned that investment, it would be a small sum as opposed to setting up a small shop of any sort. I hope the rest of you whom paid a arge sum dont feel cheated but make the best out of your investment and DONT GIVE UP TRYING.
I must admit that although their services are far from what they promised, but i am actually getting somewhere with the 1st website. It is all about remaining positive and giving it all the confidence since you have already purchased it. Dont cry over spilt milk. What is done is done and so try and make the best of it. I have some friends form India whom are Java and HTML experts and they were astonished when i showed them my website that is now 50% complete, simply because i know nuts about building websites and programming but i still managed to come out with something that seemed ok enough for other people to browse and possible buy something from it.
So bottom line, for those whom have bought the package, Dont give up. Now i am just waiting to meet the supplier of my goods who is actually coming from overseas to meet me and give me all the relevant images and price sets for the products and after that i will complete the website. They are called dropshippers, so no upfront cost for me to buy the products and keep stock. Best part is, the money form the customers come to me first and i pay the suppliers once the goods are delivered. Most importantly the package comes with its payment processor that is supported from a company in Singapore. That means i can accept Visa and Master and the money is transfered directly into my account in Malaysia. That to me was the most important fact as it saves the hassle of trying to out smart companies like PayPal and so on whom hold you by you b**** if you happen to be malaysian. However Gobala has a way around all this through Chapter M.
I have yet to go through the ultimate test, to see if i can actually generate income from this website. I would be motivated to hear anyone post a message on this Blog saying that they are making a reasonable amount of money as a result of their purchase of the websites from the said company. I know that the company has been promoting these packages as far back as 2002 and many people have actually purchased it. I hope to hear atleast one person whom has atleast coverd his/her cost of purchase by now through a successfull website from the said company. If there is no one, i WILL make sure that i do once my website is launched in late December as i will not give up now that i have come so far already.
I am not writing this e-mail to support the MAT SALLEH company. As a matter of fact, I hated the way one of the guys presented on the seminar day. He was actually getting very irritated that people were passing remarks that it was a hoax. Thankfully the malaysians never bashed him up there when he passed a very rude comment to everyone on that day.
What ever said and done, i am only writing this message to give some hope to all our Malaysia and Singapore friends out there whom have already purchased the package and to keep your spirits high with a Positive Mental Attitude. I really want to come back to this blog and tell all of you that you can achieve anything if you keep your focus on it. Untill you hear from me again sometime in January, please be positive and wish me well.
I like the unitedness of the people on this blog, simply because we put aside race and religion and country and we stand tall as Malaysians and Singaporeans. I have to give credit to Gobala for initiating this Blog.
S.K.
I think i know which company you’re talking about. Even though you didn’t mention the name… you did mention the “clue”.. hehe *grins*
i’ve been to one of their seminars. (i’m still wondering how did their free DVD ended up at my doorstep…) Since I do webhosting service as well, I see their price for just a 1 year webhosting totally ridiculous.. and when I rejected to attend their one-on-one meeting, one of the guys gave me a smirk and left while his lips mumbled something as if complaining me… i’ll never consider their offers… lol
hi gobala and fellow readers..
yup, the cost was rm18,000. that excludes the amnt you hv to pay if want to hv payment gateway/merchant acc and yearly hosting fee..super inflated!!!

hi gobala..
the amount u mention in ur blog..is it in rm or usd?
$9.00 for the domain name
$30 - $90 a year for hosting
Frontpage - free
$60 - $120 for any kind of professional web template
@ mybiz: it’s in US dollars.
wow $10,000.00! unless you’re creating a full blown ecommerce site from scratch, you’re not going to pay an amount near that.
Hi Gobala,
Kudos for exposing this over-priced Onlinestore setup.
mybiz - the amount that Gobala mentioned I believe is in USD.
I know someone who has setup her Online Store Biz with only USD10 - including a 20 MB Free Hosting … and reading from her blog and introduction to her site … it seems that she is doing quite well in her online biz i.e. from Online Store and Adsense.
And yes she is a Malaysian. You might want to check out her website … you may PM me for her website as I don’t want to post the website to such that it would go against the rules of this blog.
M Nezam Mansor
Hi Nezam,
This is not a forum software so there’s no PM function here. You can feel free to post the URL as long as it’s related to the topic, and has no sexual or explicit content..
This is very informative. Thanks for sharing. Here’s a few findings that I would like to share too.
1. Before you actually pay and go to some kind of workshop/seminar, which going to cost you few grands, google for the company’s name, organizer’s name and better still if they actually have a working website to show you before anything.
2. I followed the web address provided by Jonathan #2, and browsed a little at that storeonline.com, it is very obvious that site is running some kind of per-per-click scheme which I do not know it’s legitimate or not. From user’s point of view, it looks deceiving.
3. Notice that “Search Result” section at the middle of the page. It is all results gererated by Yahoo! Overture. Any click on the site will generate income for the site owner.
4. You shouldn’t be trusting a website, without contact information, without any kind of introduction, without any paragraph of solid content.
5. Running sites online(for biz or not), is not rocket science. Instead of wishing someone to spoonfeed you, do more reading.
More than 10k just to have 6 websites and got cheated. Most of the webhost nowadays could provide free sitebuilder.
I was cheated once but particularly not the same as this case. I was new with all these “making money online” stuffs and I pay to a service that would pay you money for just writing email. I have the feeling that I would be cheated but out of curiosity I purchase the service. The moment I log in to the system, I know I was cheated.
By the way Gobala, very good post. This is to warn us not to fall to their scam again.
My wife did not believe in this whole making money from the Internet stuff that I was telling her that I may have a good shot at. So, in a way to convince her, it so happened that they were doing the seminar about that time and my wife agreed to go with me. I was about to start an online business and had done some research, developed a demo site on my own, knowing about PayPal, 2Checkout, etc before actually went to their free dinner.
Then we went to the RM120 per couple for a full day session (or was it over a weekend, can’t remember) and at the end of the day we were given an option to purchase 6 sites for RM11,000+. My wife was excited. I was hesitant. We talked with a young mat salleh guy one-on-one and he finally gave us a deal of RM6,000 for 3 websites. My wife used her card since my credit balance was not enough.
Now I want to tell you guys that I don’t see it as a mistake. It was the price some of us have to pay for knowledge. I knew some before that but was not convinced enough that I know all that I have to do to start my online business. And then this whole chunk of knowledge came right in front of you. You either take it, or wait and search for all that info and take you 1 or 2 years more to get even half of what they had.
The bottom line is the knowledge they had with them were great. But the price to me was a bit steep. I still use some tools that they have provided, and their marketing advises were geat too, I took it all as my checklist for my online marketing. And that’s it. I didn’t actualy use their web templates. I developed on my own, linked with 2Checkout for credit payment, and since last year I have made close to RM20,000 and have appointed a distributor in the US to distribute my product, and I’m talking to a few interested people to distribute my products over there.
And guess what? I’m still learning how to do it right coz I know I can do better… I felt that the RM6,000 of our hard earned money spent was just an expensive learning experience..
some people like to get conned…coz they get too greedy….sigh….We need to sort the wheat from the chaff..
I hate it when people push you to buy their product. I had similar problems with MLM people last time…Now I just sit in one corner and make money blogging. I don’t hurt anyone or con anyone. Its ridiculous to see aunties and uncles having their money burned….Someone should report to the authorities to see if they even have license to do business in Malaysia.
I must say, I am a bit happier to finally find out that I am not the only one who bought the 6 websites and being pitied by bloggers out there. Yes May, we’re in a same boat. Guess what? I am also going to Derek’s bootcamp this weekend! What a coincidence! Get this, I got the chance to see Derek myself and I asked his personal opinion on this RM18,000 stuff, and he said, I should get my money back ‘coz it’s just not worth it! What do you guys out there think? Oh! By the way , May, find me on Table 14 (the very end closer to the wall).
Crazy Charges~!! Really big shark!!!
THIS IS WORST!! when everybody talk about netpreneur…when everybody like to feel its so ez to dobusiness online…then came the bad stink black spider crawl to their nest! ahaks! thanks gobala for hiliting this. 10k is real big bulk for those who know how to setup an online biz…but for those who know nothing…its so cheap?
sad to hear this kind of con!
i just have a question : “Is the RM 10,000 also include internet marketing such as helping your website to get top ranking in search engines such as yahoo, msn or google ?”
If yes, then i think it is worth.
If no, then after building the website, who visit ?
Greetings fellow readers!
Today is me second day attending Derek Gehl’s internet marketing bootcamp..browsing through the notes given to us ..some pretty useful information i have learned today on traffic strategies that i might be able to adopt if i ever get pass building my site
What can i share with ya from my experience today?? Ahh how about “Will you pay RM 20,000 ++ for a one to one online mentoring programme complete with the tools (softwares) required to achieve your goals and dream by fast-tracking the creation of your own cash-producing internet business in the next 6 months??? THE ENTIRE VALUE OF THIS PROTEGE PROFIT SYSTEM IS WORTH: USD 22,343. BUT IF YOU SIGN UP TODAY, THIS SYSTEM WILL BE AVAILABLE TO YOU AT RM 20,000 ++ THIS IS AN EXCLUSIVE OFFER. DUE TO ITS LABOR INTENSIVE PROCESS WE WILL ONLY TAKE IN 12 PARTICIPANTS FOR THIS PROJECT. WE WILL NOT BE REPEATING THIS OFFER AS WE HAVE NO PLANS OF COMING BACK TO MALAYSIA OR SINGAPORE IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
Listen to this folks: To sweaten the deal further we at ****** will write you a cheque (between RM2500 - RM 3400) to fully subsidise the cost you paid for this “2 1/2 days internet marketing bootcamp” right after you sign up for the mentoring programe above. You even have a choice of paying us by installments or the full amount of RM 20,000 ++ and hey because youve been such a great audience we’ll even throw in a couple of freebies.. you wont be able to resist!
Now how about that for a great sales copy ayy??
Lessons learned today:
(Apart from some tips and a better picture of what internet marketing entails)
1. Americans..Canadians…makes really great sales people. If anybody can sell ice to the Eskimos…its them lot. They can bag the awards.
2. Never never never buy into something just because so and so says its very good. Do my own research thoroughly before buying into their sales pitch..end of day its their business to part with our money.
By the way…the reason why i signed up and payed RM2500 for this bootcamp is so i could “get some serious guidance…knowledge..support…and necessary tools so i could fast-track the creation of my own cash-producing internet business in the next 6 months.”
I found out during the bootcamp…for the above to happen i must be ready to fork out RM 20,000++
So basically i paid them RM2500:
- For promoting their softwares and mentoring programme which cost a fortune.
What was i thinking??????? Some of you out there may think i must be so stupid and gullible to buy into their sales pitch… maybe i was… i could only wish you were at the preview of this bootcamp..
Ok fine maybe i did learn somethings in the bootcamp…but i still have tons of question marks hovering my head…and i doubt i will ever get some answers out from them..given the limited time. 3 assistants to answer questions from 150 participants???? i dont think so.
Final lesson for tonight - Dont stay up pass my bedtime..not doing justice to my face.
Time now is almost 1 am!! Good night folks.
p/s to misha - dont think there were numbers on the table today.. hope to see u tomorrow..
Hi James,
Here’s the answer to your question. Well, I have to drive the traffic to my site using every possible way I know of eg, PPCs, Google Adwords , Ezines etc. The company only hosts the sites and provides eStore Tool Kit such as Link Monitoring, Permission Marketing, Product Feeds etc. That link monitoring allows me to improve relevancy and helps boost up the Google page ranks. But, then again, I’ve got to monitor it on my own.
Is it worth every sen? I think, by now, a lot of people would have said No! Me, especially. Somebody told me with that kind of money, I could have gotten 18 websites up and ready to be launched by professional webdesigners! Fancy that!
Now, get this. I finally met a few who shared my grievances and to my surprise, they only paid a fraction of that cost simply because they were super negotiators! Imagine having others paid only RM 4500 for the same package that I got for RM18,000!!
I also received some very good advices, suggesting me to renegotiate with the company and get it even. If that fails, then I should just ask for my money back and return the whole package. Right now, I’m still deciding.
To May, it’s been pleasure to meet you. Hope we can be buddies, yeah?
oh my god .. i’m so glad i didnt fork out the money to go for the internet marketing seminar..enuff with the rm4 i had to pay for parking at holiday villa for the preview seminar..
thanks may for the info..
u know what may & misha?..i suggest u type out all the things u learn at derek’s seminar and either give it as a freebie to visitors to your site or sell it at $5-10. tt could be your product for your website . if u sell for cheap price also..at least u can recoup a bit of your cost..and let ppl be informed so that no more ppl stupidly get conned n part with their hard-earned money by this mat saleh..perhaps God will reward you for your effort to save others.
Hi everyone,
Being a newbie, I attended the seminar at JW Marriot this year with my brother. Prior to that I had already read and know a bit about websites, hosting, etc. But somehow, like many of you out there you know stuff but do not know a system on how to get started and do it right.
The matsallehs were very impressive I must say. They dressed well and they presented themself well. I didn;t have to pay for the eminar as I had an invitation for it that was sent to my house. Don’t ask me how.
The buffet breakfast, lunch and tea was inpressive too, so many people there were really sucked in to what these guys were saying.
It started with RM18000 for 6 websites. Then they called us in groups and pairs for a personal session, asking if we could afford it. I remember asking them for RM6000 for 6 websites but the guy said RM9,000 for 6, so I said no.
Luckily my elder brother was there to put some sense in my head. These matsallehs did everything themself, no local company was healping them, so that was a bit strange. And when I spoke to others there, they shared our concern, that since there were no representative here, very susah lah if they cabut with our money.
But I know that as the day gone on, the matsallehs were getting irritated and desperate that not many malaysians were signing up. And they look oh so not impressive, when we cabut from the hall after the end of the seminar.
So, reading about this seminar here, i hope those who signed up are already starting to make money ya.
I’ve signed up for Chan Do system, and in the middle of getting things done. Not easy … as it is with everything else, need focus and perseverence. Also sign up for easy wordpress and trying my best… with a screaming 31/2 year old to handle while reading about plug-ins..
Wish me luck
hi everyone..
something to cheer you all up..no need to pay rm18,000 or rm2500 to get some internet marketing tips..

Hey there fellas!
To “mybiz” - great idea! and thanks for the link. I have read about him on http://www.pickaguru.com , this website is dedicated to reviewing the top internet marketeers. Not bad…quite true what he said..after i went to derek’s seminar.
To “Geraldine” - lucky u! You know what since all of us share quite similar goals..i beleive all of us want to get started and there is just so much to learn on our own…i think it would be great if we all keep in touch and perhaps share whatever we learn..u know bits of info from u.. me..mybiz..and whoever else feels like..would save us alot of time…and we can post questions and get answers right away..instead of surfing endlessly. Maybe i can share with you guys my comparison for email softwares…still looking for one
To “misha” - i doubt if we can ever get to our money back from storesonline. Then again 2 voices is always louder than 1 maybe we can get a few victims
together and see how we can go about getting a refund. No harm trying. If not i would of course try to make the best of the 3 websites i bought from them..very very frustrating though…their email features are so basic…bloody rigid.. etc…sigh no end in complaining about them lah… lets see what we can do. Will call you sometime.
To “shake” - tell us please..what are the tools u used from storesonline that u think was helpful? Its great you have succeeded very well on your own..happy for u!
Hi, I one of those that purchased 6 websites with storesonline. I paid RM12,000/- (which includes integrated e-commerce). For someone that has zero knowledge about internet business and how to start a website, RM12,000 for 6 websites is consider cheap! I was a banker, and I always value things with money. That is what we called an investment. Initially, I thought it was not worth it and regretted but then I realised that it is actually very useful.
I received e-mails from some of the participants saying that storesonline had bad reputations, bad in service etc. You see people only like to write bad things about something but how many people that actually like to write and tell good things? Not many right? or probably non. Therefore, whenever people get into internet to find about storesonline, what they receive is only the “bad” information. Other people who had benefited from storesonline, did not write about it. Am I right again?
I almost gave up with it at one time and thought it was not worth of investment. My husband asked me to be patient and learn about the information in the storesonline website. As I read from chapter to chapter, I got interested on it and I know that I gained knowledge from it. Even now I am still learning. There are so much information in it. Even our local internet workshop do not tell such information in his books or workshop.
So far, I have no problem chatting online with them through their quickresponse service even though most of the time what I asked was not available for my website. The fact is, I may asked too much to make my website super special, by realizing that I am actually a Malaysian and there are some restrictions and limitations for us from Asia. Am I right Gobala?
Those that says is not worth it are people that:
1. greedy - thought they can get fast money from the website.
2. lazy and not patient, didn’t go through the whole process offered in the website (obviosly it is time consuming)
3. do not know how to value money with knowledge.
I build my own website since 2 months ago (at my own leisure time) and learn more and more each day from storesonline. I think those people that complaints so much about storesonline and regretted paying RM10K for 6 websites, will complaint the same thing if they attended Irfan Khairi workshop. These are the people that actually do not know how to appreciate investment of knowledge.
I have a friend who spend RM3,000 over for a website. Still, she has to get all the informations for the web-builder and the quality…. not there at all.
When I showed her my storesonline website, she was impressed and wanted to buy from me. Well, I sold one to her for RM2,000 and another one to her friend for the same price. They were very happy because they have access to the informations and tehniques with regards to internet business and building a website.
How much do you think a person will charge for a consultation on anything you want to know about internet business and building up a website even at 3 am? I heard someone price is RM500 per-hour. Do you think spending RM10,000 (i.e. 20 hours of consultation) you may get all the informations? So asked yourself how do you determine your value of knowledge and time with money or investment?
Hi Rismawati,
Thanks for posting here. Your points are well taken, but in my opinion that much of money to get just the “tools” is a lot.
If it includes an advertising budget, marketing “know-how” and even personal coaching afterwards where you can troubleshoot problems, then it’s worth it.
But if you’re spending Rm12,000 just for templates and web hosting, then it’s definately not. After the day is done, managing just one website can give me a headache.
If you have 6 websites and no traffic, you still dont make money.
My concern is how much people are willing to pay just for the basic tools, and yet when it comes to advertising with say Adwords and they have to spend $100, then refuse…
Exactly Gobala!
I couldnt agree more! Rismawati good for you if u r happy with what u bought
hopefully u will still feel the same way as you learn more about your storesonline website and what is available out there. Just curious have you got to the chapter about email features on your storesonline website? I dont suppose u mind paying RM 70 a month hosting 500mb with them etc. Does that sound like a good business strategy u think?? Did they provide a list of their hosting features?? Oh and also good luck on - dialing into your website!
By the way :
We r not greedy. we r not lazy. we dont expect to make a quick buck overnight with our investment. We are very serious in our persuit to start our online business otherwise we wouldnt be paying so much. Breaks my heart to read your post.
Oh i paid RM 5000 for the 6 websites and i still think its absolute crap!!!!! I have been studying the chapters dilligently since the day i bought it and i think its so much easier to get your website up by just using frontpage. Email?? you wont believe how basic their email features are. I just went for Derek’s seminar…i learned so much from that seminar. There is so much more out there than what storesonline has to offer!!! and hell of alot cheaper!!
I do know the value of knowledge and time. I also know when i have paid so much money for something which is over priced..i am under no illusions that i have been conned…and guess what…i’m not even a banker.
Storesonline is nothing but a con!!!!! How can they sell the same product at prices with a huge difference to the same audience????? Depending on your negotiation skills???? You call that proffessional?? They r just like sellers in Petaling Street..even better!
Infact there are very good local internet marketeers out there who are at least genuine. You could learn alot from them if u know where to find them
Reffering to Rismawati’s post above -
“RM12,000 for 6 websites is consider cheap! I was a banker, and I always value things with money. That is what we called an investment.” - quote from ex banker.
Good luck on your investment!
Frankly speaking, I have not logged on into their website for so long.. but when I first started MathAbacus.com I actually learned how to optimize my site for the search engines using their recommendations.
Before, I only knew what was needed to be done, but they (through their articles) have shown a systematic approach on how to get it done. There are some analysis tools that I find helpful, especially their analysis on the top few websites that appear from search results.
I have since managed to get my site to be on the first page on a few popular keywords on Yahoo and Google, and some even the top 3 without paying a single cent. Many of the traffic that I get to my site comes from Yahoo and Google.
The reason why I didn’t use their services to set up site:
1. Can’t really have a free hand at the look and feel. Actually I can, but they will charge extra to get it up.
2. They have monthly hosting fee. Why need it when you can host 5 websites at 500MB using a local host at RM190 per year?
3. Their payment gateway is expensive as you have to pay a monthly fee, and many other fees.. that I don’t think economical for me as I can start acccepting credit card with 2Checkout.com for only US$49 as startup fee and no monthly charges.. of course they charge a fee for every transaction, which I think quite reasonable. And I can get the money transfered from them to my Maybank account in 24-48 hours.
I still keep the packages they gave us and read them from time to time.. I don’t think it was a bad investment, as I’ve mentioned earlier, it was just an expensive learning experience…
hmm..no wonder companies like starbucks, levi’s, chanel, etc can make money…there are ppl willing to pay >rm10 for coffee, >rm200 for levi’s jeans & >rm1000 for chanel handbags..
when in actual fact we can get equally good rm1 coffee, rm70 jeans & rm100 handbags.
when they advertised rm18k for 6 websites , u paid rm12k for 6 websites & someone else paid rm5k for 6 websites…come on man…open your eyes!! isn’t it fishy enough that they can cut 33% of their orginal price to sell to you, and cut 60% to sell to another customer..all within same or 1-2 days..
if u have paid the same amt to a local webdesigner, u shldnt actually hv to build anything..just direct them how you want the website layout n content to be..and u could get >10 websites for tt rm12k. u could hv already started focusing on marketing your sites and raking in the income now..instead its been 2 mnths and u still struggling to complete ur 1st site.
malaysians and their colonial ways!! mat saleh kasi lecture saja..terus terpegun…memalukan bangsa dan negara je!!!

Rismawati Ramilis,
After reading the msg here and there, I want to tell, you can actually save the RM12K if you know how-to outsource to the right vendors to build your 6 websites.
You can go to rent-a-coder.com or elance.com to look for website designer, tell them what do you want in your website, they will do it for you in less than US$150 per website. Then, you can high a team of people on contractual basis to update your website from time to time.
I am not saying that whatever you paid is not worth it. Maybe in your opinion, it is worth it. On the other hand, we don’t think so.
One simple explanation I can suggest here why she feel it is worth for investment because she is kinda new in IM, and thinking of paying RM12K to get the opp to enter this industry. Just like a very wealthy person want to use her/his wealth to buy health when she/he need that. Or an happy person want to use $$$ to buy happiness. How do you judge that by the way?
Coming back to this, those who know Alex Mandossian knew he mentioned in his teleseminar coaching session, he always stress that not how much you can make in first year but how fast you can make your first dollar after you came out from the seminar. If Rismawati can make her first dollar after came out from the RM12K seminar, then she will feel worth it.
Two of my friends actually paid that kind amount and attended. However, no action taken yet so far. So, to them maybe they don’t feel it is worth it.
Whatever it is, we all just express our opinion and there is nothing wrong with that.
