I just got an email from a subscriber, that perhaps many of you reading this are experiencing as well:
Thank you for sending much of your info with regards to this internet business. Well I’m really confused, don’t know where to start. I am a Professional Engineer by practice and love so much this business. But don’t know where to begin. There are lots offering such as PLR, MRR, Autopilot, WordPress, PPV Traffic, Affiliate, AdSense and so on….
My e-mails is full of these offer from the internet marketers…so can you do me a favor in giving me the advice on how to start from the very basic. You know as well each of the offer are un US$…and after converting to our currency it would be quite a considerable sum… i don’t want to spend on unnecessary product but i wish to go for the right one & start from there on….tq
This is a common issue when you focus on the tactics, instead of first thinking of a suitable business model for you. Everything this guy mentioned above is jus a tactic to get more traffic and more sales. But what do you sell? How do you generate income from all that traffic?
If you can’t plan a suitable business model – something that is based on your available time (part time of full time) as well as your budget – then all these tactics mean nothing. by focusing on tactics you’ll only be running around in circles without building anything substantial.
Normally, I would recommend that you attend my Internet Millionaires BootCamp where I discuss the most popular business models and help you find one that is suitable for you. However, since we’ve postponed all our bootcamps till early 2011, I recommend that you signup for my personal coaching session instead.
If you’re serious about starting an online business, you’ll find that the personal coaching session will be the fastest, shortest and easiest way for you to start making money online while building a real online business.

Just a few years ago, at USD1 = RM3.8, life was great. However, since the Malaysian Ringgit was un-pegged from the US dollar, Internet marketers like me have been losing out. This got even worse recently as the US Dollar started to depreciate drastically, and at the moment for each US dollar I can only get about RM3.10. That sucks.
So what if you made money in US Dollars, and you want to keep that money in US Dollars until the exchange rate was favorable enough? Is there a bank that allows you to do this?
The answer is yes: HSBC Bank of Malaysia.

As long as you have RM10,000 to open an account, and your company is at least a Sdn. Bhd. with a one year operating history, you can get a US Dollar HSBC bank account easily. Just visit any HSBC bank and tell them that Gobala Krishnan sent you.
(Just kidding..)
Anyways, with your HSBC bank account you actually get two separate but connected accounts – one is in US dollars and the other is a regular business account in Ringgit Malaysia. Plus, you also get access to their online banking system that is user-friendly and makes your life much easier.
Here’s the catch – Your US dollar bank account cannot be used to make payments in US dollars. It’s just an account where you can store your cash in US currency, but it’s not an account that you can issue checks from. You can however, transfer from the US account to the Ringgit account easily.
But in any case, this is useful if you want to hedge the damn currency market and get a better return for your online business.
Although many Malaysians use Maybank2u for personal banking, the truth is Maybank’s business banking sucks big time. You have no way to check your balance except via phone banking, and no way to make a payment except via check. Plus the people in Maybank are so lazy that they will always tell you to go back to your home branch for almost anything related to your account.
(They do have a Maybank2e.net service which I use, but that’s just expensive, bulky and very frustrating.)
With the HSBC bank account however, you get two accounts, and online banking interface, phone banking and even a business ATM card that you can use in any local ATM machine to withdraw cash.
I got this account by applying for a POS (credit card swipe machine), so if you apply only for the account the rules may be different. In fact, they may have stopped the US Dollar bank account by the time you’re reading this, so please ask them for details.

Yesterday I posted a blog post about Jeremy Burns Source Code Goldmine. In that post I used a cloaked affiliate link like this: http://gobala.linktrackr.com/sourcecode
Before I published the review, I decided to just share the link on FaceBook using the viral marketing tools at LinkTrackr and here’s the result, in just a few minutes:

All that is free traffic from FaceBook, and the only thin I did was share it from the viral bar. Just ONE share got my TWO additional “Likes” on FaceBook from people who clicked on the link from my profile page / news stream:

Now that’s the true meaning of viral marketing – I got additional traffic without doing any additional work.

Jeremy Burns just launched his Sourcecode Goldmine 10, and if you’re into PLR products you have to take a look at the amount of good stuff you get for a very low price.
I used some of his earlier products and I’ve always been extremely satisfied. SCGM is well known for being extremely affordable considering the massive amount of contents you get with each product.
Version 10 is no different. What we have is is an excellent mash up of varied products that are well composed and a great value. Here’s some of the PLR websites you get:

LinkTrackr is designed for simplicity. We want to help more affiliate marketers to cloak and track their affiliate marketing campaigns without the need for scripts and bulky software.
However, since many users now already have their own WordPress blogs, we’ve also included a link cloaking plugin for WordPress blogs. The plugin is easy to install, and you can use it on as many WordPress blogs as you want.
With the lick cloaking plugin, you can easily convert any keyword on your blog into affiliate links. Just enter the keyword for each link, and the plugin will do the rest.

Plus, you can specify the amount of keywords per post you want to convert, so you’ll never end up with a spammy-looking blog.

I’ve been using this plugin on this blog for a week now, and it works just fine.
However, unlike similar link cloaking or link masking plugins, all your data is stored in your centralized LinkTrackr account. Therefore, you can use this plugin on many different blogs without having to duplicate your links for each blog.
Also, you get much better reporting because you’re only looking at one centralized report instead of many reports on many blogs.
In the next few weeks, we’ll be improving this WP link cloaker plugin to be faster and easier to use.
Signup for a LinkTrackr account here. You can use our $1 trial to test it out for 30 days before you decide if you want to keep it or not.

I’ve been trying to find the words to explain how LinkTrackr works and why every affiliate marketer should get an account, but I’ve come up with an even better way – to simple draw it out.
Look at the diagram below, and I’m sure you’ll pretty much understand the main purpose of LinkTrackr. While we’re only launching next week, you can subscribe now to get some free affiliate marketing tips.

Every time I send out an email to my subscribers, I will without doubt get a verification email from Boxbe.com. I click on every one of them and verify myself, which 99.9% of Internet marketers won’t bother to do.
Recently, I started to receive more and more email from Boxbe, which means of course they are increasing their user base. So I decided to signup myself and check it out. Here’s my review of the service.

What is Boxbe?
Basically, it’s a free service that you can use to protect your email inbox from spammers and unwanted email. You can use it will all your existing Gmail, Yahoo or Hotmail accounts. When you signup for Boxbe they will ask for your login and password, and they will automatically create (in the case of Gmail) a filter for Boxbe. They they will filter all your incoming mail.
When you receive an email, Boxbe checks to see if the sender (or the sending domain) is in your “whitelist”. If it is not, Boxbe will automatically send an email to the sender, asking him to confirm that he is a real human being. If the email was sent by a spammer, he will not confirm as he’s probably using a fake email, or he’s just not interested in doing that extra work.
So therefore, at the end of the day, you will have a squeaky clean inbox. No spam, no unwanted email, only the people you choose to hear from.
Here’s the problem:
- Boxbe overrides Gmail’s wonderful spam filter, and that sucks big time
- If you’re getting unwanted email, check at the bottom of the email and you will be able to unsubscribe anyways
- If you cannot unsubscribe from unwanted email, just mark it as spam and Gmail will automatically send all email from the person to the spam folder
Here’s a sample of the amount of hardcore spam that Boxbe allows to my inbox:

All these are clear cut spam, yet Boxbe delivers them to my Gmail inbox. Without Boxbe, Gmail would have automatically sent all these to the spam folder, but now I have to do it myself.
Therefore, here’s my conclusion – you don’t need Boxbe.
It only makes your life harder and gives you more work to do as you have to manually report all the spam emails, and manually accept all the legitimate ones. I’m an internet marketer and I receive on average 1,000 – 3,000 emails per week, yet I managed just fine without Boxbe.
Switch to Gmail. Their spam filters are great. Learn to unsubscribe to email newsletters you no longer want to subscribe to. Learn to create filters in Gmail to automatically sort email you only want to read later.
Perhaps they may improve later and overcome these issues, but for now I’ll pass.
